This Thursday 3/13 Shaggy Pines is excited to welcome The Wagging Riders Dog Bus to the park! This shuttle day play is for our members wanting a unique visit to the park for their dogs. They will be picked up , played, and returned home for about a 4 hour outing.

Late morning on Thursday the front fields will be closed for approximately one hour so these shuttle pups can run together. The rest of the park is open as usual.

If you are interedsted in getting your pup onto the shuttle please contact Amy at Wagging Riders 616-373-1230. She will get you all of the information that you need. There are still a few spots available.

Did you know that George Washington loved dogs? He kept many dogs as pets and was also a breeder. In addition to being famous as our first president, he is also known as the “father of the American Foxhound”.

We got this fabulous show at the park last night. And tonight may not be quite as dramatic but, we will be back over there!! We will open the gates from 9 till midnight so if anyone would like to come back for stargazing or possible aurora sightings…. Please come join us. Be careful, follow the paths, the best last night was in the back field. Bring your own chairs, blankets, food or drink. Our dog does not do well in the dark so we will not bring her… you can judge your own dog.
