Thank you for all the heartfelt and loving messages for Andie. I have shared them with her family. I found an article from Des Moines Cityview that featured Andie in 2020 https://www.dmcityview.com/people-and-pets/2020/01/01/stray-keeper/. In the article, Andie expressed her thoughts about animals, saying, "They’re loyal no matter what. Animals don’t have drama or a corrupt society. Animals make me feel valuable. People could learn more from animals and strive to be more like them." So true, sweet girl, so true. I know she is in heaven, loving on all the animals and riding horses with her contagious smile.

Took Shady a young Shepard mix out to play before breakfast. He needed to run off some energy. I needed up in our big back yard. I don’t have a video of him out there. He had a blast smelling all over and running laps.

I am heartbroken to share that my beloved Assistant Manager,my friend, a person I loved like a little sister, Aundrea (Andie) Cox, passed away on Thursday, November 7, and is now a shepherd of God's animals in heaven. Our world feels shattered without her. Her family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at New Hope Church, located at 25712 US-6, Adel, IA followed by a service from 7:30-8:00 PM.

A wonderful couple we’ve known for a long time and they bring their pup for grooming gifted us a dog bed they don’t use. The shop kitties claimed it. They don’t snuggle often but in the week we’ve had it I’ve found them sharing it a lot.
