We wanted snuggles!
After selling my child care business in 2017 and switching to a receptionist job at a vet clinic, I started pet sitting to earn a little extra money. What a perfect part-time job for a mom who needs some flexibility and loves animals! My son and I have really started to enjoy some extra playmates in the house to snuggle with. Our dog Harper does too! Darby and Figaro our cats are not so sure when we have big dogs come to stay, but they are used to it by now. I really wanted a “family” like environment when pets come to stay with us. Our pet guests are free to roam the house while I am home and can even sit on the furniture! EEK! While I am away at work or running errands I will separate any dogs/cats when I have multiples as to ensure all pets safety. If your pet is a “regular” and I know they are well behaved I will leave them to roam the front half of my house. I leave the back half of the house for my scaredy cats (literally). We love taking our guests to the local dog park here in Adel. We like to burn off a lot of energy and then come home for a nice nap. Don’t worry ...while you are away I will send you lots of updates and pictures. Probably some blooper photo shoots as well. :) Before you come please make sure records are all up to date or if I can look at them at the vet clinic I will check there. I HIGHLY recommend all pets I watch be on a flea and tick preventive YEAR round! As well as Heartgard to prevent heart worms. Both my cats and dogs eat Royal Canin gastrointestinal food so it easy on the tummy. If you would like to use my food there is no extra charge. If you prefer to bring your own that is fine too. I can provide beds, bowls, toys, and blankets. I have a medium size kennel if your pet feels comfortable being kenneled. If you have any questions please ask!
