Some update photos of Freyja. Shes adjusting wonderfully! Shes taken to me quite strongly, which I don't mind one single bit lol. Shes bonded with everyone really. She loves playing with Eli, Dixie has (unsurprisingly) taken on the role of mother and has been teaching Freyja to hunt as well as gently correcting her if she gets too nippy lol. Krueger lets ker crawl all over him, and when they're outside, he just watches over the entire yard, quite often with her laying under or next to him.
Below are a few photos and videos I've gotten of her. Shes the sweetest and most playful little girl, and we absolutely adore her 💕

HOW MUCH FOR A PUPPY?

Let me say a few words to you, yes you, the person who writes an email to simply ask the price. The person who calls and after hearing a price surprisedly states: “I can buy a cheaper pup elsewhere”. I also address you; the person who doesn’t care about papers because I want “just a pet”.

No dog is “just a pet”.

Behind every pure bred puppy/dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory or mill. A reputable breeder does not breed dogs without papers, that does not protect the integrity of the breed. Registration (papers) are records of lineage that document bloodline and allow one to research any possible health issues present in the lineage. When you tell a Breeder you don’t care about papers what you’re really telling them is you couldn’t care less about the health of the puppy you just want the cheapest thing you can find! When you select to buy a puppy from a reputable and quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every pup ; both dogs owned and every pup they’ve sold for its lifetime. This breeder will skip holidays, miss sleeping, and most of their personal house space has been turned into space for their dogs . The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in puppies that are sold, but also in each client who owns a piece of their heart and now is a member of their extended family. This does not take into account any puppy/dog who might get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without question.

A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is about...In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests, echos, xrays, analysis, emergency c sections, vaccinations, register litters, research pedigrees, deworm, as well as microchip their puppies and get them evaluated by specialists.

Last but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to have one of their puppies. Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a Breeder has made so they need to be confident its the right fit. Many times saying more no’s then yes...A good Breeder will have different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline, why? Because breeding is not a responsibility to ever be taken lightly, it’s a lifestyle choice set aside for ONLY the few devoted people willing to sacrifice.

Because a dog is never “just a pet” it’s the Breeder’s legacy, a little boy’s best friend, a little girls protector, an elderly persons therapy, a member of the family, someone’s whole world!!!

Okay so update here.
The puppies are scheduled to see the vet Friday June 14th. Deliveries/meets can happen anytime after that but my availability is very limited throughout the week. I will be speaking with each of you individually and post in the comments any places I’ll be meeting to see if that works for anyone else. We’re down to the last couple weeks everyone!

I believe we have one long haired girl, and one (possibly two) long haired boy. The rest are smooths. (So that would be 3 smooth girls, 1 long haired girl, and three boys, at least one of them being smooth.)
I will begin accepting deposits. Anyone interested may message me.
They’re all $850, come with a puppy pack that includes toys, blanket, leash, collar, toys, starter food, treats, up to date on shots, health guarantee, and spay/neuter contract. Deposits are $250, with the remaining $600 due upon pick up or you may make payments until pickup.
They’ll be ready June 10th, I’m located in Moundsville WV and delivery fee is $0.50/mile.
However, if more than one puppy is being transported along the same route, the fee would be split. For example, if I deliver 3 puppies along the same route to deliver to you, the fee would be split evenly among everyone.

After much consideration and everything that’s going on in my life right now, I feel that it is best to stop my breeding program. I may have two more litters by summer time (I believe two of my girls may have taken to these last breedings.)
But after those litters, we will have no more. We may have some of our breeders available at some point for new homes as well. This breaks my heart, and has so much more to do with many more factors than just rehoming due to temporary complications. I appreciate and love all the support I’ve gotten for what I’ve been trying to do. Every puppy produced by me will still be backed 100% by me. I will still be there for any and all questions, still want photos to be shared, and will still take a puppy back if need be.
I love each and everyone of you and your fur babies, and I appreciate the joy and happiness you’ve shared with me through photos and conversations. My health among many other things in my life right now just seem to be making my breeding dreams more and more difficult. Maybe one day I’ll come back to this, but until then, I appreciate how far all of you have helped me come before I unfortunately had to make this decision to step away. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have. Thank you all ❤️

Please forgive me for any slow responses and being less active on social media lately. I wrecked my jeep into a pole Monday morning and have since been resting up and trying to sort through this mess. I’m okay, just a slight concussion. Josie the Jeep however likely won’t be drove again. I was the only one in the car and no other vehicles were involved. So all is alright, just taking some time to rest up and hug my loved ones a little tighter. Thank you for your patience and understanding as I sort through all of this over the next few days/weeks. :)

Why animal breeders may not invite you in anymore.

You’ve probably read somewhere, maybe even from me, that a breeder that won’t let you see where animals are kept or meet your animals is a big red flag.

That breeders who won’t let you meet the animals or see where they are kept must be hiding something.

Well that’s no longer true.

Why you ask?

Because there is a vendetta in the USA right now against breeders, even the really good breeders.

Anti breeder types, be they from HSUS or PETA or other animal rights groups or overzealous animal shelter workers or other similar people are making it their life’s work to get breeders animal seized and stop all breeding.

Many times this involves lying, filing false complaints or worse- setting the breeder up. Sometimes these people even gain the breeder’s trust or work for them.

No matter how clean your animals are.
No matter how well fed and clean your animals are.
No matter how careful you are to only breed the best and most fully health tested animals.
No matter how much time and money you put into them and how much money you lose.

These people are looking to get your dogs or any type of animal seized, to get another “horrible breeder” story in the news, to use you and your animals to get restrictive laws passed.

Breeders now must not only do their absolute best , they now must guard against those that would destroy their life’s work and the animals they love for no reason other than hate.

So the next time an animal breeder grills you with questions, or meets you in their driveway or even at the shopping center in their town, don’t hold it against them - they may just be doing all they can to keep hateful people from destroying all they love.

*ANNOUNCEMENT*

We currently have NO available puppies at this time. Our two breeding females, Dixie and Dakota, have been retired and are living lives of luxury on the couch beside us as we make this post 😆
We may be bringing in one more surprise for the future of our breeding program, and once more information is confirmed on that front and all details worked out, I will post more information.
But at the absolute soonest, we may have a litter this fall. If not, our next scheduled litter will be from Drizella (our new Chocolate and Tan Piebald) in spring/summer of 2020! (Stud is still being decided)

Until then, enjoy any dog related things we post, and we wish everyone luck on any searches for new family members! Never hesitate to ask us for breeder recommendations, we know MANY breeders we could refer you to. In the meantime, we will be working on Duke's show career, and eventing with the rest of the crew! Pictures will be posted of any milestones we reach in our puppers show careers!
