A peek inside the Boathouse Black & Red Rooms. Each of these beautifully spacious lakefront accommodations are cozy and bright with warm wood paneling, an open living room with soaring ceiling and double-height windows, a fireplace, kitchenette and doors that open onto an expansive deck overlooking our private lake. Each main level offers a master bedroom with a king bed, a wood burning fireplace and a balcony overlooking the lake...plus a bathroom with its own wood burning fireplace! And, the upstairs bedroom offers twin beds, a cozy fireplace and its own private lakeview balcony. A home away from home…Adirondack-style.

The first snowfall of the season at Lake Kora. While we are currently closed, our Cottages 1 & 2 are looking cozy dusted in a blanket of fresh snow, all tucked-in for the winter ahead.

So many wonderful family celebrations, executive retreats, and multigenerational gatherings took place at Lake Kora this year to much acclaim. Did you know Lake Kora sits in a designated Historic Great Camps area in New York State? Our neighbors, down winding private gravel roads, are Great Camp Sagamore and Great Camp Uncas and were also owned by Gilded Age magnates. Each of our Adirondack Great Camps were designed by famed architect William West Durant in the 1890s.

Lake Kora is open for the season and is celebrating its 125th anniversary! Designed by famed Great Camp architect William West Durant and built in 1898 for Timothy Woodruff, Lt Gov of NY under President Teddy Roosevelt, today it is still widely known as the most picturesque, elaborate & well-appointed of Adirondack Great Camps. It’s officially summer! As the summer solstice sun bathes our Great Camp on this, the longest day of the year, the warmest days are just ahead. We can't think of a better place to escape summer’s heat than at your own secluded camp, with a private lake and your entire family surrounded by the beauty of the Adirondacks.
