‼️Puppy families!!‼️

Our pup from the Sept. litter, Arya, had an anaphylactic reaction to her last set of vaccines.

This CAN be hereditary, even though mom and dad have never had issues. This is just an FYI, if you are scheduled to finish up vaccines with your pups, let the vet know so they can pre-treat with Benadryl as a precaution.

At the very least, don’t leave the puppy alone for around 12 hours after.

It’s harsh but true! These crazy babies are a life long commitment! They will grow out of the crazy puppy stage between 1-2 years old. Treat them like a toddler and if you aren’t ready for a toddler, don’t get a puppy! ❤️

Hard to believe our babies are 11 weeks old as of yesterday!

How is everything going, families?! Arya is doing great! She’s so funny to watch grow. She’s doing well with learning to sit, she does amazing on walks with a harness! Still working on the potty training though. 🤦🏼‍♀️

First litter families, few things!

1. How’s your week going with your new baby?! Drop a photo (or a few 😉) in the comments! 🥰

2. The puppies are due to have their nails trimmed again! I did them all last weekend. At this stage you can still use adult clippers and just clip the tips! This will help with their super sharp claws and help them get used to it early on!

Ms. Arya has been a goofball since she’s been upstairs with mom now! 😆🥰

PUPPY FAMILIES! ❤️🐶🐾

I have some exciting news!

Your pups are very well developed for their ages, and at this time we feel comfortable allowing them to go to their forever homes earlier than 10/27. The earliest I’m comfortable with letting them leave is 10/23 (Monday) or 10/24 (Tuesday). If you’d like your baby early, please message me to arrange pick up!

There is absolutely no rush, if it is easier for your family to pick up on Friday 10/27, that is still completely fine! With how they are doing developmentally, I just wanted to give families the option if they want!

They have been completely weaned from mom for a while now and rarely spend time with her during the day anymore. These pups are doing so well and have been amazing to watch grow! We are so going to miss them! ❤️🥰

NEW PUPPY PARENTS!

This long post is for you- bare with me.

I’d like to call this list, Amanda’s favorite things 😆
In the photos below you’ll see all of my favorite things, this does not make them necessary for you but I wanted to share some tips and tricks I’ve learned owning a puppy the last 6 years 🙃

1. Use what dog food you choose, but in the photo below is what they will come home with. It’s easily found at TSC in Adrian! I’ll send each pup home with a bag to mix in should you decide to go with another food. All I ask is NO GRAIN FREE FORMULA DOG FOOD! There are numerous studies showing Goldens are one of the breeds who’s hearts are being effected by grain free food! Diamond Naturals actually does have a grain free line and this is NOT what we buy! The food below is wholesome and gives your dog some great probiotics!

2. I’ve added some of our favorite chews for Goldens: Water buffalo horns easily found at Meijer, bully sticks, Yak chews, Kong toys, etc. NO RAWHIDES (not digestible) OR ROPE TOYS (easily cause intestinal blockages)!

3. We like using the below cage and washable puppy p*e pads while our pups are young and we are at work! Much more economical and they won’t be tearing up disposable p*e pads! This cage gives them more room than a kennel!

4. The anxiety dog toy really helped our puppy sleep well at night but it’s not at all necessary if it’s too expensive. I just highly recommend them! Just remove the heat pack if you are at work, don’t let them get that out and chew it up.

Figured I should unload some of the millions of puppy photos from the last week 😆 Can’t believe tomorrow they will be 6 WEEKS OLD!!

They officially started complete dry food as of yesterday and they killed it! I probably could’ve transitioned them sooner than I did, but that’s okay! They are doing sooo good. They are mostly just doing the occasional nursing session for comfort at this point, and mom has started drying up a bit. She’s also spending more and more time apart for them. I can’t believe they will be leaving us and joining their forever families in just 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY!! 😍

We are camping this weekend and my wonderful mom is staying with them for us! ❤️ Hopefully I won’t stress leaving them too much 😆🥰

Our litter is completely spoken for! Our names are now:
Red boy: Shaq
Green boy: Archie
Yellow girl: Daisy
Pink girl: Arya
Teal girl: Zoey
Dark purple girl: Sadie
Light purple girl: Nala

These adorable faces are deceiving because apparently week 5 is the week they become monsters 🙃🤣

Late post but on Saturday these beautiful babes turned 5 weeks old. They run and play with each other and whine if humans come downstairs and don’t give them attention ❤️ They try and push the gate open all together when you go to open it and jump and play when you bend down to change pads out 😆🤦🏼‍♀️ All babies got their nails trimmed again Saturday, are very close to moving to dry food, are nursing less and playing with momma more. Every single one is gaining weight incredibly well!

They go in for their first vet visit and shots a week from today! 🥰

You can’t tell in the photo below but there is a food dish down there under the pile of pups.. 🤣

4 weeks old already! 😱
It’s hard to believe we are a full month in!

These little sweetie pies have become poop/p*e monsters who need to dirty the first scent of clean bedding they can find! 🤣

They got their nails trimmed again today and are eating gruel more consistently! This week we will focus on a little less one on one with mom and a little thicker food to get ready for real dog food! We will also slowly transition mom from puppy food back to adult food.

I love them all so much! 🥰 A lot of interest but still 2 girls left! 💜🩵
