We're celebrating Abby's return to our team 3 years ago, but this animal-loving warrior has actually been an integral part of our organization for over 12 years!

Abby has one of the biggest hearts we've ever encountered and her incredible passion helps her tackle difficult cases every single day. From scared dogs to semi-wild cats, Abby goes above and beyond to make sure they all feel safe and loved.

Not only is Abby committed to every pet in our shelter, she's also instrumental in helping catch terrified strays and has a special knack for taming squirrels.

Abby, thank you for being you. What you do isn't always easy, but hopefully you know it's always worth it. Congratulations and cheers to many more years!

For this week's , we want to spotlight an awesome person that has been a part of our team since 2016!

Tiffany is a dedicated volunteer that is pretty much a "jack of all trades"! If you have been to any of our events, you have probably seen Tiffany either helping out or hanging out with her crew of dogs! She is also a familiar face when it comes to outreach events, summer camps, and social hours at local nursing homes!

Not only is Tiffany an awesome volunteer, she is also an amazing foster! From spicy kittens that need socializing, shelter dogs that just need a break from the kennel, and even more recently, fospice dogs, where they stay and be spoiled for the rest of their time, Tiffany opens her heart and her home to shelter pets!

"Good afternoon,

I recently adopted a cat named Vincent from you and I saw on your Facebook that you guys like seeing updates!

I've renamed him Luka and he's very happy at home! His favorite pastimes are napping and small crimes (sticking his head in a pot of Mac and cheese and stealing chicken nuggets), he non-stop purrs and waits for me in the window when I leave for work. He's playful and very happy! The tip of his tail where it was shaven for his stitches is finally growing fur again. He has a little kitten friend that he plays with every day and he is so happy when I come home that he jumps in my arms and purrs.

He has really been here for me and saved me and I think I saved him. Anytime I'm sad or upset or stressed out he comes over and flops near me or starts being goofy.

I know he was with you guys for a while and that he was there before so I wanted to give an update because I am so grateful. Thank you again!"

LOOK WHO'S FINALLY SAFE AND WARM!!

Gypsy, the elusive former commercial breeding dog, escaped soon after being adopted from our shelter last month and has been on the run ever since.

Because Gypsy is so undersocialized and scared of humans, the incredible Trapper Dan offered his services to help us trap this terrified girl. With tasty bait, a camera and tons of patience, Trapper Dan finally caught Gypsy this past weekend!!

Gypsy is now back in our care, resting and decompressing from her escapades, but she'll be searching for another chance at love very soon!

As you can probably tell, she's in need of a patient, compassionate adopter willing to take the time to break through her walls. Once you do, you'll be rewarded with unconditional love and trust.

In the meantime, you'll need to teach Gypsy how to walk on a leash, ride in a car, potty outside, trust humans and more. Our staff will give you the tools you need to help set you both up for a lifetime of success.

Though we don't usually require a fenced yard, we would prefer one for Gypsy because she is a flight risk.

He is a new guy here but it took approximately 0.002 seconds for all of us to fall in love with him! Kayo is a social guy that loves to play in the snow and often can be found getting the zoomies! He is friendly with all of the humans he has met and appears to get along with other dogs too!
