Blue is a 3rd generation Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) and one of the few Boykins out of HRCH, AKC Master Hunter, and BSS Open placements parents. Blue earned his Started title at 8 months old, seasoned at 2, finished at 3 with an 80% pass rate at HRC finished. He qualified and competed at the HRC Grand at 3 years old
Blue has a calm disposition in the home and is all business in the field.
Blue is the son of HRCH Cash is King MHR (Cash) who placed 3rd at the BSS National (Open) and HRCH Wrecker’s Southern Mermaid MHR (Ariel) who has placed 2nd, 3rd, JAM at the BSS National (Open). Additionally, Ariel is the highest producing HRCH dam.
Blue is the grandson of Wrecker (HRCH Justahomewrecker PCH05 UICH06 NCH06 UOCH08).

Sipsey is the daughter of SHR Mitchell’s Bourbon St @ Brier Creek SHA NR and OTM’s Talk of the Town UNCH16 UICH17. She is the daughter of Gabby (OTM’S Talk Of The Town UNCH16 UICH17) and the granddaughter of Kara (OTM Wrecker’s License to Carry NCH12 UNCH10). Sipsey’s grandfather, Karoo, is a BSS Upland Champion, the first Boykin to earn an AKC Grand Championship, and won the title of best in breed at Westminster in 2015. She is the great granddaughter of Wrecker (HRCH Justahomewrecker PCH05 UICH06 NCH06 UOCH08).
Sipsey has 32 distinct BSS National Champions representing 44 BSS Champion titles.

Exciting News!

The Wateree Spaniel Club will host a minor breed spaniel field trial on Saturday, January 4th, 2025. The event will be held on the grounds of the H. Cooper Black State Park. This will be a fun, Open All Age trial, NO championship points will be awarded.
We will however, adhere to the green book.

The trial will be open to the following breeds: American cockers, American Water spaniels, Boykin spaniels, Clumber spaniels Field spaniels, Sussex spaniels, Welsh Springer spaniels and Poodles.

The event is posted on Hunt Secretary .

H. Cooper Black offers full hook up and primitive camping. Cheraw State Park offers cabin rentals and is located nearby. Dogs are not allowed inside the cabins - this rule is strictly enforced. There are several hotels nearby both is Cheraw and Hartsville, SC.
