UPDATE: His owners have been found and are on their way to pick him up.

This sweet fella was found in the road this morning. A kind person picked him up because he was almost hit by car. We did not find a microchip when he was scanned. He was found on Underpass Road in Advance. He is not injured and appears very well cared for. It looks like he was recently groomed. If this is your dog or if you know who he belongs to please call 336-978-6543.

A long story with a happy ending. A very large tabby cat was brought into the shelter. As part of our vetting process, we scanned him for a chip. We called the owners and they drove up from Florida to reclaim him. He had been missing for 8 years! There wasn't a dry eye in the building, all happy tears. Please think about getting your pet microchipped. It is quick procedure that can be done while they are spayed or neutered, and Frisco's family will tell you, it is priceless.
