Jack is a 11mo, 39lb, Pointer mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter & is our longest resident here at ERF. He has been making so much progress & has been able to open up and play with other dogs. He’s a very sweet boy who needs a little time to warm up to people and would be best with a loving owner to give him time to thrive & gain trust. Jack has watched countless playmates find homes and really needs a special patient foster or adopter to give him a chance inside a home environment. He is vaccinated, neutered & microchipped!

Dobi is a 5-year-old Terrier-German Pinscher mix that has lots of love and a personality that’s as s***ky as it gets! This little guy is incredibly friendly and gets along with other dogs, making him the perfect companion for any household. He loves to play with toys, and his energy is infectious – you won’t be able to resist his playful antics! When he’s not busy having fun, Dobi is all about those back scratches. He’ll lean into the love, soaking up all the attention like the sweet boy he is. His affectionate nature and happy-go-lucky attitude make him an absolute joy to be around. 💌Meet Dorothy, our sweet rescue valentine who’s about to become a mom! ERF rescued Dorothy from the euthenasia list at a high kill shelter, and we’re so excited to share that after her first vet visit we’ve learned she’s expecting a litter of adorable puppies! As we prepare for the big day, we’re asking for your help to make sure we can monitor Dorothy and her puppies during the birth and their early days. A puppy camera will allow us to keep a close eye on them 24/7, ensuring both mom and her pups receive the best care possible and allow YOU to follow along as well. Kienan is a 11mo,11lb, Chi/Terrier mix that was rescued with his siblings from a high kill shelter. He is good with other dogs and likes people given time to warm up. He is a sweet and gentle boy, and we think he would be the perfect companion for someone that has the time to let Kienan grow & gain trust. Because Kienan is still a young dog, he is full of energy and curiosity. He will need a patient and experienced owner who can teach him not all humans are scary! Meet the incredibly gorgeous Noah, a 2-year-old, 73-lb Doberman Pinscher with a heart of gold. His favorite hobby? Wrestling with and cuddling a tennis ball! Despite being hit by a car and suffering a broken leg, he remained resilient, continuing to show love and stay strong. He has fully recovered from his injury and, with a little training, could be great with any dog! Noah is bright, alert, and responsive—he shows no signs of slowing down. He absolutely loves learning new commands and hopes to find a home that will give him as much love as he gives in return. Noah is currently being fostered at Two Hands Four Paws. Gato, a friendly black cat that showed up at Legacy High School in South Gate, Los Angeles, with no known backstory. Every morning, he’d greet students, but not everyone treated him kindly. During her senior year, Briseida Pineda, along with classmates Nadia Lara and Valeria Castro, started “Project F.U.R.” (Feline Urgent Rescue) to help animals in need like Gato. Legacy teacher Lisa Ramirez fed Gato daily, but the meals were often stolen by other animals, and students were feeding him junk food. Concerned for his safety, the girls reached out to local organizations. The Little Lion Foundation donated food, and FixNation coordinated a rescue. Amy Wilkins helped with Gato’s TNR, and now Gato is safe with ERF, still waiting for his forever home! Gato is a resilient boy that deserves the best home! Come meet him today!
