Fresh Phelsuma laticauda Hawaiian Blue hatchling displaying that gorgeous 'high black' pattern. We've had some stunners pop out this season and can't wait to grow them up! Compare to the second photo, Phelsuma laticauda angularis. Same species, different localities, both incredible!

Check out this tiny little Phelsuma laticauda angularis (Angulated Gold Dust Day Gecko)- they are a locality of the classic gold dust day gecko. Stunning in their own right, a nice subtle blend of half blue and half green.

This adorable little female Hawaiian mourning gecko is the start of an army! Reproducing without males is their specialty, called parthenogenesis, allowing them to create not identical clones but genetically randomized embryos without the need for males.

Type B have always been a favorite of mine for the beautiful cream base and minimal markings, and I'm happy to have snagged one at the Raleigh Repticon.

It's a beautiful Friday here at LSPC! Not only did I get our first pair of fertile Phelsuma nigristriata eggs, but also discovered fertile eggs (two sets!) from a Phelsuma laticauda angularis girl I received a while back! Surprise babies are the best babies. 💚

Less than 13 hours left on the Phelsuma ornata (Ornate Day Gecko) auction! These are going to go for an absolute steal. If you love day geckos, these are a great start to dip into smaller species. Hardy and curious, but not too small to easily escape.

Phelsuma nigristriata aka the Island Day Gecko, petite and similar to P. lineata but with distinct bars of lighter and darker green along the backs of their necks (hard to appreciate here). They vary from bright green to a deep cool teal. Perfect for smaller vivariums.

I've had a single male Phelsuma abbotti chekei for a long time, and I've never really had a chance to pair him up until now. He has always hidden, stayed behind cork bark, and never let me get this close to him--until now. I guess he needed a strong partner to make him comfortable. 💚

Thank you, Ron Radloff of H**p Hobbyist for the amazing female. I can't wait to get some eggs! The subtle color, pattern and bright eyes on these guys are all amazing! I'm so passionate about keeping these harder to find species available in the hobby. Stay tuned to see their new mansion.

Such a big (and scary!) week for LSPC. We're no stranger to shipping day geckos but had our first crested shipment in 6 years delayed by weather! Thankfully she arrived to her new home safely, and a big box of new geckos arrived from H**pHobbyist! We will finally be pairing up our Phelsuma nigristriata and abbotti chekei this year! And finally, we have a few young Phelsuma cepediana available!

The beginning of the hatchling wall. Emergency crested room relocation is almost complete! Separating our day geckos and cresteds will keep the cresteds nice and cool while allowing the day room to safely climb above 80F. Still learning about this house!
