Good morning everyone! Our annual Spooktacular dock diving event is over and it was an amazing event. I want to sincerely thank every team that came out to compete with us for our last competition of the year. Your K9 partners jumped their best and had a blast despite the cold water. I also loved seeing all the costumes for our Annual Halloween costume contest

Next year we are planning some big things especially when it comes to finals prizes and with our new ribbons, 1st -3rd will receive a special prize and I think Shea is planning on adding a 4th and 5th place ribbon to the finals. So stay tuned!!!

The pool will remain open to practices and lessons until October 30th. Be aware, I will not be getting in the water during lessons so no brand new dogs please. You can sign up like usual on the CCAC website or just FB message us if interested in coming out.

Otherwise we will see everyone back on the dock when we open it late March, beginning of April depending on the weather. But until then, we hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving, very Merry Christmas, and a Happy Happy New Year!!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone, that is entered in our dock diving event this weekend, know that there currently is no one entered in fetch-it each day. So you don't have to start checking in and practice until 9am instead of 8am. The first splash starts at 10am each day. Even if someone signs up the day of for fetch-it, it won't take long to jump 1 or 2 dogs.

Post Hurricane update at PSAD:

We are going on day 10 with no power and no pool filters. When I got back from UAG, the main project was to get all the leaves out of the pool. After a couple hours and close to 25-30 nets of leaves, the pool is mostly clear but desperately needs to be vacuumed. How the water is still clear is beyond me. Only because the water is a little on the chilly side is my guess on why it hasn't turned green yet. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Aiken Electric website was showing a couple days ago that it could be 3-4 weeks before power would be restored in this area. But bucket trucks were seen in the area this morning so keep your fingers crossed.🤞🤞🤞

For now the pool is on hold and so is our Oct 19-20th event. As soon as power is restored I will put the entry form out and of course day of entries are always available. I will give an update as soon as power is restored and the pool is back up and running.

Since phone service has been very spotty since I got home I haven't been able to brag about our amazing teams that went to Ultimate Air Games last weekend in Lebanon TN. So here it goes.

Out of the 23 dogs that qualified, 17 of them competed, in the remnants of a Hurricane no less. One of the days we were jumping in 20 mph winds but it didn't phase our dogs at all and they still jumped their hearts out. So here's the breakdown:

5th Place in Featherweight Distance

Lily Belle - 9th Place in Ultimate Chase-it
10th Place in Checkers

Augie - 8th Place in Master Catch-it

Petey - 4th Place in Novice Distance

Klaus - 4th in Junior Distance

Scarlett Ann - 9th Place in Master Elite Distance

Mercy Me - 10th Place in Master Elite Distance

Dec - 3rd Place in Senior Elite Distance
6th Place in Master Catch-it

Parker - 3rd Place in Super Veterans
10th Place in Master Elite Catch-it

To say I'm proud of all our teams, whether they received a placement or not, would be a total understatement. Your dogs jumped their hearts out. Congratulations to everyone. Our PSAD family is the best. We may be a small group, for now, but we are mighty.

Only a few more days to the big games! We are heading out Tuesday evening and want to wish safe travels to all of our teams that are headed to TN also.

I also want to let everyone know that I want to start a FB messenger group for UAG. That way if you are 5-10 minutes from going onto the dock to compete you can let everyone in the group know and we can come over and cheer on you and your pup. I'm going to try to create it from the PSAD page but if I can't I'll create it from my private page. So let me know if you are interested in being added to the group. Couple of Announcements!!!!

First off, we are only a few days away from our Sept event this coming weekend. So if you are planning on coming and haven't registered yet, please click on the link and fill out the form. You won't pay until you check in at admin and there will be DOS entries available, but it helps with admin paperwork if you fill out the form beforehand.

Secondly, if you are planning on buying a PSAD shirt for UAG, you might want to order it in the next day or so to make sure it arrives before leaving for UAG. My mom ordered a shirt this morning and it said it would arrive between the 12th and 23rd. They seem to be arriving closer to the earlier date but I wouldn't cut it too close just in case.

I've been asked about creating PSAD t-shirts so they can be worn at UAG. So here they are. I went on Bonfire and created two different shirts, one with all black lettering (to go on light colored shirts) and the other with all white lettering (to go on dark colored shirts). Looks like we are headed to Ultimate Air Games!!! Since this is the first time that Peach State Air Dogs (as a club) is going, I want to do something special for everyone that jumps with us that qualified. I want to create a banner to hang up at the PSAD tent setup. So if you jump with us and consider us your home group and you are qualified for UAG (whether you plan on going or not), send me the best picture of your dog jumping. You can either put the picture in the comments or send it to me via fb messenger. I would love to have a banner full of the dogs that we love watching at our events and consider family.
