HAPPY SUMMER!!! I will be closed for my annual summer break June 27 through July 6. All correspondences will be responded to before or after said break. 🙂 Officially, on waitlist status, HOWEVER, I do have a few token spots I can offer up for the right fit (a combo of location/types of grooms, etc). For more detailed information see the top pinned post on FB. For a quick perusal, see below.

ACMDG - Greetings! Please open & read through this correspondence. You’ve sent some of the info I require, & likely minus a few items (you’ll find them below). If you send me any missing requested items (minus what you have already provided), I will get back to you during business hours; 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday & Friday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, possibly sooner. Have a great day!

Officially I am on waitlist status, however depending on items such as location, grooming needs, etc I might be able to find a spot. Otherwise, you can be added to the waitlist if our parameters align. See the below information (open up text fully) to find out if we’d be a good fit.

-In order to see if I can get you on the schedule or waitlist (officially on waitlist status), I need more basic information. (This is a standard response; ignore items you’ve already provided.)

-What area are you in (address
is ideal to compare to current
appts)
-Breed of pup/s
-When last groomed
-Any matting, etc
-Pics taken within the last few
days
-Weight of pup/s (100lb weight
limit; up to large GR/lab/GS
types)
-Any behavioral/health
conditions related to
grooming?
-Will you allow access if you
can’t be home from the 2nd
appt forward?
-Have you read & agree to the
basic, “will we be a good fit”,
info from matting, scheduling
requirements (hours & EM or
EOM), cxl/reschedule policies,
access, location/trip to $120
groom minimums, basic
pricing & more?

-All communication is accomplished (& in order of preference) via text, email or FB PM. Voice mail is NOT checked & phone calls do not happen.

-A little basic info to make sure we’d be a good fit:

•All pups are required to maintain a methodical rotating EM (every month) or EOM (every other month) schedule. Currently, only EOM appts are possible. If EM are desired, it is suggested to at a minimum start at EOM until a corresponding EM spot opens. After the first appt, if you can’t be there, I need access by some means to keep your pup/s on schedule. Frequent rescheduling does not work with how I run the scheduling. Appt change requests must be made asap & at a minimum 2+ weeks out from your appt if you do not want to incur rescheduling fees. Frequent rescheduling can result in losing your spot on the schedule.

•I have a zero tolerance cancellation policy (see the policies on the website, FB or emails for more information). Rescheduling is an acceptable alternative, however not on a regular basis.

•The groom minimum starts at $120 for one pup & includes up to the first hour on that groom dependent on breed/behavior/type of cut & matting. (For example, Cocker Spaniel/Cairn Terrier/Westie/Mini Schnauzer types: $100 & up + $20 for the first pup so would be $120+ or the doodle minimum is $130, so the price for one would be $130+ + $20 = $150+.) After the minimum is met, the hourly rate is roughly $100/hour during business hours & certain services such as additional nails (for other pups not being groomed) are available. Trip charges may apply.

•All pups must be 100 lbs or less & at a minimum decently behaved. You will still be responsible for all qouted grooming/trip fees etc if the groom can not be completed due to behavioral or health issues. So please, it is important to be honest.

•As per matting policies, moderate to heavy matting is not tolerated as it is unfair to both the pup & groomer. In the event a pup is deemed badly matted, it is likely they will be shaved down to 1/2 inch or less; dependent on what can get through the coat with the least amount of stress to the pup as possible. If it’s just a few that can be easily cut &/or groomed out they will be spared the shave-down (this is up to the groomer’s discretion.). After that first groom, it is up to the pup parents as to how long the coat can be. Pups must be flea & tick free or there will be additional charges.

•Locations traveled to. Some locations require trip charges (see FB or website for further details). Currently the areas appts are being considered in are most of Aiken County (Aiken, Graniteville, Beech Island, Wagener & Warrenville are most commonly traveled to. Windsor & nearby areas are not traveled to as frequently.). Occasionally N. Augusta, Augusta, Ridge Spring, Edgefield & Trenton are traveled to. Other areas may be considered if close by &/or trip charges & grooming fees can be arranged to comfortably compensate for gas, vehicle wear & tear & time on the road. If an entire ACMDG business day or close to an entire day (travel & grooming time) needs to be put aside/reserved for an appt, expect to pay $300 & more (areas or trips approximately 20 min &/or miles or more from Beech Island are subject to steeper trip & minimum charges. For example, Colombia/Lexington areas are 3+ hours of driving & would require an entire day blocked & be a $450 minimum ($150 + of that being trip) w a 1-3 dog &/or 3 hour max grooming time @ approximately $100/hour).

-HOURS: Grooming occurs between the hours of 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Tuesday-Thursday & 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday. Mondays are reserved as a reschedule/overflow day.

-If interested, please be sure to read over the basic information & policies included in emails (also on the website & first pinned post on FB w the Frenchie) as items such as rough pricing, what a groom includes, payment forms accepted, matting policies, rescheduling/cancellations, to operating hours are covered & more.

-This is partly a test to see if we’d be a good fit & that you read through the information sent to you. Congrats if you’ve gotten this far. 😉 If you respond back & agree to the basic requirements & information, send the info requested, etc or have more questions and you also provide the information requested (minus what you’ve already provided), I will see if I can accommodate you.

Thank you for your interest!

Thank goodness I’ve never seen a dog this matted!!! 🤣🤷‍♀️🤣 Seriously folks… Long is not cute or healthy if not properly maintained…. A nightmare for groomers on several fronts…. And a reason why certain breeds are frequently boycotted &/or set at higher prices…. 🤔🤔🤔

An ad, yes, but something to chew on… Ditch the processed foods if possible… For humans & pets… Dr Gundry MD, Dr Marty Goldstein DVM, Badlands Ranch/Katherine Hiegel, Cesar Millan… Chuck Norris, “Forever Dog Life” book co-written by a veterinarian… Dr Marty’s book… Yes they vary slightly, some different opinions on garlic for one example, but at their core, they are all saying roughly the same things…

Something to chew on as we continue to see an uptick in cancer in pets…

Are we really surprised? Next to or near ANYTHING that uses pesticides. In a past area I’ve lived, I noticed a seemingly higher cancer rate in pups who lived in a city situation… Even if you don’t spray, your neighbor or city might…. My theory was later concurred by one of the area veterinarians.

“Spoiler: it’s the pesticides. Researchers found that those living within a mile of golf courses have 126 percent higher risk of developing Parkinson’s disease than those who live more than six miles away, according to a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).

Areas that shared drinking water supplies with water used near golf courses were the most greatly impacted, the study shows. Researchers believe this shows that the pesticides used on golf courses could contribute to the amount of Parkinson’s cases.

“The odds of PD were relatively constant within close proximity to a golf course and decreased linearly as distance increased; individuals living farther from a golf course had reduced odds of PD, decreasing relative to the distance from the nearest golf course,” the study explained.

Previous studies have already linked chemicals found in pesticides including paraquat and rotenone to neurodegeneration, according to the study.

“This isn’t about golf,” said Dr. Michael Okun, national medical adviser for the Parkinson’s Foundation. “It’s about pesticides, environmental exposures, and preventable risks hiding in plain sight.”-Climate Ride

This case-control of older US adults examines risk of Parkinson Disease by proximity of residence to a golf course.

IAT treatment for cancer. Discovered by Dr Burton. Used by veterinarians Dr Marty Goldstein DVM & his brother successfully on pets since the late 1980’s/1970’s or so. Google it & hardly anything comes up. Reading, “The Nature of Animal Healing”, by Martin Goldstein DVM is QUITE EYE OPENING… & I tend to agree w everything he says. Of course, I have no science degree & didn’t even finish college, but EVERYTHING HE’S SCIENTIFICALLY learned, documented etc seems completely valid to me. It’s the route I’d choose… Clearly big pharma & those entrenched in traditional medicines & treatments are not a fan… FOLLOW THE MONEY… Change is scary… Admitting we were wrong &/or embracing new ideas is scary…

Something to chew on…

“…cancer is the ultimate manifestation of ill health. Another way to put it is that many cancers are typically an extreme result of toxicity trapped within the body. Unable to purge the toxicity by any of the usual means, the bodies immune system finally surrenders: the rebels take the garrison and begin to loot and plunder the cells with a violence the body cannot control.”-Dr. Martin Goldstein, DVM from, “The Nature of Animal Healing”.

“If a society obsessed with naming and treating symptoms is getting sicker, perhaps a new perspective is in order.”-Dr. Martin Goldstein DVM, “The Nature of Animal Healing”

******

“Drugs are expected to work fast; if they don’t, others are tried quickly. Then, if there’s no response, a case is declared “hopeless” and out comes the call for euthanasia. Patients aren’t given enough of a chance to heal, and a worsening condition may not be recognized as the purging that leads to health. That’s why, whenever I get a “hopeless” case, the first thing I do is try to take a pet of drugs as I put him on alternative therapies. And then I wait ~ for the pet to start healing himself. This is not to say that drugs are bad. They do have their role in society and, used at a minimum, in my practice. But our goal should be to wean our patients from them as soon as possible, and let true health be our best protection against disease.

Viewing health and illness as a function of toxicity, appreciating the importance of diet, and opening oneself to the good that holistic medicine can do, mysterious as it may be ~ these are the first steps towards a whole new way of caring for your pet.”-Dr. Martin Goldstein DVM, “The Nature of Animal Healing”
