Come train with Kylie Cahoon this summer. She also offers training board! Rising Moon is a fun, low key farm located in the heart of Aiken Eventing with excellent riding facilities. Sand full size dressage ring, full course of jumps, hacking loop, and on a dirt road that is hackable to Jumping Branch Farm.

If you want to come for a weekend or a week of boot camp, the 3-stall rental barn is available after July 7th.

While we are in between guests we opened the gates to the resident horses to the rental barn and fields. They love it and spend more time there than in their own barn.

The little annex barn has openings starting March 26th! Come enjoy Aiken with your horse before it gets hot! If you decide to come during the summer months, don't worry - barn has an insulated roof and fans will be installed in time for hotter months.

I wanted to give a shout-out to the people that helped build my adorable annex barn. Barn has 3 stalls, 12 foot aisle overhang, small tack room, water and electric with 2 large 1.5 acre paddocks and a small paddock around front of barn. Builder of barn was Charles Ezell (Ed) - his wife is Kathleen Ezell on Facebook. He prefers smaller projects being a one man show but is an amazing carpenter with reasonable prices. He has done a bunch of projects for us. Electric was done by David Kimball and fencing by Cesar Salas. Ground prep done by Brooks Abney.

In preparation for running Pinetop Intermediate, one of Simons students (Elle and her horse Paddy) had to do this exercise. Two skinny flower boxes on an angle and a skinny flower box oxer. I think those boxes are 4 feet wide! They sailed over them first time no issue! Not surprisingly, they had a clear round at Pinetop and held their own in a division full of big names and Olympians! During my lesson we had to do the same exercise but with the boxes on the ground and we struggled!

Just in time for our first seasonal short term renter, lights and electric are finished including 30 and 60 amp camper hookups. How perfect for a getaway with your horses is this barn? 3 12x12 stalls, 12 foot wide aisle, feed/tack room and two lovely turnouts that are 1.5 acres each fenced with new 3 board fencing.

More progress on the annex rental barn! We added a small paddock off front and divided the field into 2 for 3 separate paddocks. Two of the paddocks are a generous 1 1/2 acres. Electric and stall fronts coming next week and it will be ready for short term rentals! Bring your horse for a few days and train with Kylie or Simon, be within minutes of all the major venues and have excellent schooling facilities on site. Thank you Cesar Salas fencing for doing another awesome fencing job for us!

Just added to Rising Moon Stables. Available for short term rentals by the week or month. Newly built 3 stall shed row barn with attached 3 acre field with new 3 board fencing. Stalls are 12x12. Near main barn which has climate controlled tack room with full bathroom and wash stall with hot/cold water. By the month: $900 for up to 3 horses. By the week, $250 for up to 3 horses.

Today was grid day at Rising Moon Stables. This is Kylie Cahoon schooling a green pony through a bounce grid. Kylie is our resident trainer and is taking clients for lessons, training rides, and boarding and training options. Kylie has evented up to Advanced level and has just returned from 18 months of working with Olympian Joseph Murphy in Ireland.
