Take a look at these adorable lab mix puppies named after X-men characters. They came to the SPCA yesterday afternoon. There is a total of seven with one being looked after by our vet clinic manager. We really need to find foster homes for the rest for a couple of weeks. We ask that each foster take two pups.

We will provide all essentials including food, crates and toys. Fosters have the first option to adopt one of the pups that they foster. Adoption fee is 50% off for fostering. If interested please text 803 200 1918.

Our little 4 month old Georgetown really enjoyed his first Adventure Day. He visited downtown Aiken where he enjoyed some noodles at Tako Sushi. A few people stopped by to introduce themselves and say hello. Small town hospitality.

Georgie then took a stroll through the Alley. He looked very content on the ride back to the SPCA. What a sweet and curious little🐒

Dan has been adopted!

Dumpster Dan had a perfect Adventure Day with a sweet mom and daughter. They took him out all day. The trip included a pup cup and shopping for new toys. Dan had a blast and proved that he would be a great family pet.

He-man had a cool Adventure Day in downtown Aiken. He enjoyed riding in the car, sightseeing and hanging out with a person.

Chai has been adopted!

I took this little girl Chai on a SPCA Adventure Day recently and she had a blast. From riding in the car to sitting in my lap during dinner she enjoyed every aspect.

Both of these cuties have been adopted!

Meet Chai and Noah two adorable seniors here at the SPCA Albrecht Center. They are both ten years old. Chai the chihuahua is a girl and Noah the Pomeranian is a boy. Both are looking for 🐶 foster homes so that they don’t have to stay in crates alone at night. Chai is affectionate and Noah is treat motivated and enjoys walks.

Scoober has been adopted!
Scoober enjoyed a short-term foster vacation, which was a nice change of pace from the shelter. His foster mom praised him as the perfect guest, with no messes in the house, and sleeping soundly in their bed. He took pleasure in relaxing on the deck and was not bothered by passing golf carts or other dogs. Scoober is now eager to find a permanent home and a wonderful family to share his life with. If you're interested in meeting Scoober, please stop by the shelter soon.

Meet Theda a 3.5-year-old Pitbull mix. Theda first came to us when she was about 7 months old in 2021. She was adopted pretty quickly. Unfortunately, Theda was returned to the shelter last July after her adopter had to move out of state.
Theda loves to take walks and is great on a leash. As you can see from the video she loves to play ball. Theda would love to have a foster home or an Adventure Day in your fenced backyard, so that she can breathe air outside of the shelter for a little while. Hoping to find long term foster families for two sweet furbabies in need

First up is Tucker, a 4-year-old medium sized mix breed dog. He came to us after being abandoned in the back of a pick-up truck. Update: Tucker has been adopted.
He was so emaciated that we were not sure if he was going to make it. Thankfully, Tucker is a resilient dog and on the road to gaining the weight he needs. As you can see from the photo, he still has a way to go, so he needs a savvy dedicated foster parent who will help him get there. Tucker has shown to be okay with other dogs. However, if the foster has other dogs, they would need to be mindful that food for Tucker has been a scarce commodity until recently, so a separate feeding space is required for him to feel safe.

Next is Queen Elizabeth (Queen E for short). This majestic little creature came in as a stray and was never claimed. We were surprised because she is an older chihuahua at around seven and quite frankly one of the sweetest ones that we have ever had. She has tested positive for heartworms so has started her pre-injection antibiotic. Long story short it will be a couple of months before she can be spayed, have her injections and a possible dental surgery.

Some of our Shameless cuties are back from their first fostering. They need a new foster home for the next two to three weeks while they await neuter/spay surgery.

In addition we still have Conway who needs a foster home. And now we have little Hawkeye, a 8 week old mix breed weighing about 9 pounds who wants a foster 🏠 too.

Update: Amber has been adopted.
Amber had a great Adventure Day out. She walked so nicely on the leash. Amber was friendly to everyone she met, including the statue. She loves attention.

Amber is available for adoption. She gets along with other dogs. Based on her interactions with Regina ( our shelter cat), Amber would probably do well with a cat with the proper introduction. She has lived with and loves kids.
