Proud to have these bloodlines in my breeding program.
In-utero option available. Foal is bred to do great things. Due mid May 2025.
Galoubet is one horse that someone needs to write a book about---Maybe it’s already been done.
His fame began in the jumping arena as he powered over immense jumps, bucking, kicking back and playing between fences.
But as a breeding stallion, he has reached heights few can match, and in two different sports. One son, Baloubet du Rouet, won the World Cup finals in show jumping 3 times. A grandson of Galoubet, , Allstar B, was an individual gold medal winner in eventing at the World Equestrian Games.
His pedigree is unusual---He was 3/8ths Selle Francaise, 1/8th Thoroughbred, and ½ French Trotter.
The first time I saw Galoubet in Massachusetts, after he’d been imported from France, was in the winter. Huge and hairy, if someone had told me that I was looking at a horse used for pulling at the country fairs I’d have readily believed it. But honed down, as you see in this photo, while still massive and powerful, there’s plenty of class.
