**UPDATE** Hope for Horses is okay. One of the generators we sent up today was taken to them so they can use their well for water. They will need supplies in the future but the animals and humans are okay.

We’ve been working up there for a week now. Everyday the news gets worse and worse. The pictures and videos are so bad, social media doesn’t even allow us to post them.

The death toll is skyrocketing and the news is only covering a tiny portion of the reality these communities are experiencing. I’m physically sick over it. There are THOUSANDS of people who can’t even be accessed. We’ve had crews up there every single day delivering supplies, but there’s so many more we need to help.

Every morning our team of sanctuaries and our coordinator, Jamie Miller- national guard rescue retiree who just started devoting her entire life to volunteering with Ziggy’s Refuge gathers for early morning updates starting at 6AM. We’re working as hard as we can, but the horror stories are getting worse and worse.

🚨WE NEED INFORMATION ON

With no cell service, power or WiFi coordinating rescue missions is extremely challenging. We’re hearing terrible news about hope for horses, but can’t verify a location or why they can’t be accessed. Send us a message if you truly know what’s going on. We’re VERY worried about them. Places can only be accessed via horseback or ATV’s. I will go buy a ATV if that’s what’s needed to access H4H. I will send teams with chainsaws and have supplies waiting, but we need information. We’ve tried for 5 days to contact them and the information we’re receiving is that they were in dire shape days ago and now there hasn’t been communication.

Thank you to all your support everyone. We’re trying to service all of the farm animal rescues up there with anything they may need. 14 have had their essential supplies delivered and some have had their 2nd load. Today, several more are receiving their second load.

A generous donor wants to do a $1k match. If we hit that number, your donations will be doubled. We need these funds as we may be faced with very expensive lifesaving purchases to be able to rescue people and animals as soon as today.

Happy everyone is alive, but so sad to lose some of our gorgeous trees. This pair of trees was an equine favorite. :(

All animals are alive and well, but the storm damage around the farm is intense. Giant trees (including some favs) are down and fences wrecked, but we’re feeling lucky that our house/barns/sheds seemed to have survived mostly unscathed. Wow, that was a bad storm!

Storm damage 9/27/24

Oh good, it’s raining. Again.

The heat and humidity have been relentless this summer, and the old men have been miserable. We just strung up a short stretch of misters in their shed entrance, and they love it! I gotta put up more of these!

DD followed her bestie Flori to the barn for emotional support, but the process took too long, and she got sleepy, and this bar was just so comfy…. (She slept like this for 10 min!)
