Growing dressage barn in Aiken SC looking for a barn manager/assistant trainer.

My program is growing and I can't keep up with it all anymore! Lovely farm with all the amenities located in the heart of the Aiken 302 corridor. Position would include working with and overseeing staff, helping to keep track of horses and appointments and maybe helping me find where I set down my phone or coffee. 😂 Daily interaction with my lovely (respectful) clients , handling for vet/farrier/massage/chiro/general pampering.

Horses range from foals to geriatrics, and everything in between. We offer specialized boutique care: mostly because I can't help myself, rather than because the horse owners insist 😉. We have a super fun group of riders that range from kids to kids at heart. We frequently attend local shows and also travel to shows.

This position includes on-site housing, lessons, a stall for your horse and yes — pay!

I am a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist — but still an event rider at heart, so we are serious but know how to have fun.

Applicant should be self motivated, capable of making decisions in stressful situations, and a team player. Some days are hard but on other days we take down time. Experience in this type of position is required; however, I'm very willing to teach skills that may be new to you. Work life balance is very important and I take it seriously. We give two (assigned) days off per week.

Were back! Power is on at the farm. So much to do at the farm but so thankful for lights, well, and AC. If anyone needs to plug things in, or get water, please call!

Update on the farm. Helene hit us hard. So many beautiful old trees came down, taking out a large portion of our paddocks. One of our barns took some pretty bad roof damage and our tractor shed fell.

Amazingly, despite some very tired people who stayed up listening to the storm and calming the horses, we are so thankful to say that horses, humans, cats and dogs are doing just fine. Our trusty water tower stood strong allowing us to give the horses water until the generator was hooked up. The multiple barns allowed safety to the horses and 1 full set of paddocks allowed all horses to get outside yesterday in the beautiful sunshine while we worked hard to start the clean up.

I am forever greatful to my incredibly talented husband who not only wired in the generator, but pulled out a chainsaw and stared to clear the way.

We are without power but ok. And so thankful that it wasn't worse. If you are in a bad place with your horses, we do have many stalls available to put them somewhere safe. Please feel free to reach out. We all need to help each other in times like this!

Now to rebuild even stronger! And hope the electric companies stay safe while working hard to get us up and running.

It was another wonderful day of education with Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel at our clinic today at Aiken Equestrian Center.

Auditors and riders alike got clarification on the many tools that can help both horse and rider. It was amazing to see what correct biomechanics of the rider does for the horse.

We are looking forward to another great day tomorrow. Sunday's clinic starts one hour earlier than previous days - starting at 7 am. Auditors are still welcome for a $25 fee and gates will open at 6:45 am.

Today's lunch was provided by Tom Murray and Carolina Real Estate Company, with our appreciation, and was enjoyed by all.

We are also grateful to Aiken Saddlery and Purina Horse Feed for the exceptional goody bags provided to clinic participants.

Day one of our three-day clinic with Felicitas von Neumann - Cosel was a huge success. Twelve incredible riders enjoyed gentle and correct coaching from a true master. We had such a great turn-out for this event!

A huge shout-out to both Aiken Saddlery and Purina Horse Feed for - not only great goodie bags for riders - but for providing a wonderful lunch today.

We are all looking forward to tomorrow's rides; there is still room for auditors, if you’d like to attend. Just a reminder to bring a chair and cash is greatly appreciated for payment.

As always, a huge thank you to Olga Iglikova for allowing us to enjoy this amazing facility. It was wonderful to showcase the tremendous improvements recently made to this beautiful property.

Auditors are encouraged to bring a chair. The audit fee is $30 for one day, $55 for two, and $80 for all three days. Cash - with exact change - would be GREATLY appreciated🙏

Doors open at 7:45 am. Please turn off of 302 and take a left towards the guard tower (not our usual entrance) and follow the green signs.

Please remember to be respectful of all of our riders and enter the ring with as little disruption as possible.

We have a block of 12 stalls now available to rent. Stalls are fully matted each with their own fans and lights. Block includes private grain room, 2 tack rooms with AC and hay storage. Facility includes covered arena with GGT footing that is irrigated and dragged daily. Large Jump arena with full set of new jumps, polo field, track, bridle path for hacking and more! Many different turn out options all with new fencing. Possible to split into 2 blocks of 6. Message for details.

Now offering "Lessons for Littles" on Wednesdays. Summer is here and there is no better time to start riding lessons for your child.

Lessons are 45 min long and include both learning about proper grooming and care as well as riding. Lessons are tailored to each child's ability. Our horses are kid tested and mother approved with YEARS of experience.
