Charlie wasn't quite sure what to do with this yummy chewy.....so he packed it around for a while. At some point, he realized that it tasted pretty darn good and down the hatch it went! He's proving not only to be handsome, but he's quite the quick study, too!😋

Loki, Loki, Loki! How did you get way up there on the couch? It looks like being so high up has given him some extra courage, like the cowardly lion on the Wizard of Oz! Such a cute, cuddly little man!

OKAY, last, but certainly not least, is Loki. He is the oldest and possibly the wisest of the group. Before haircut - and after haircut! There's a great shot of him in deep conversation with one of our handlers, who is reassuring him that it's going to be lots of fun.

For those of you who plan to put in applications to adopt these kiddos, being first doesn't ensure being chosen. All adoptions are through SpokAnimal, and applications won't accepted until later in the session. This group won't graduate until December 9th!

LOKI – 5 years, NM Yorkie, 6.7 #:
The smallest in stature, but personality for days, Loki! This rock star pupil came to us from California, but he must have come from one of the big cities because he has places to go, things to do, people to meet, and he will find any way to get it done! He knows more than you'd think just looking at him, and he may get distracted halfway through the conversation about his knowledge, but he comes back quickly to touch bases and make sure everyone is on the same page. Look at that face. He knows things. He might have opinions. A bit like Yoda he is.

OH, but wait. Check out Mr. Scruffleupagus!
We told them there's no way they can come up with a better name for this boy!

Mr. Scruffleupagus – 1 year, NM Terrier Mix, 27.8 #:
His paperwork says Terrier mix. But we're thinking maybe Chocolate Poodle & Schnauzer or ? He is a charmer. You know that saying, you can be pretty or you can be smart, but not both? We think Mr. Scruff took that to heart, but the brain he has is ready to learn everything and anything anyone wants to impart to him. He will do his best to be a gentleman and scholar, if you will kindly show him how. Toys are fine, balls are ok, but his ideal date is sharing a meal and swapping knowledge. We aren't 100% sure where he got this from, but we're ok with it. Scruff needs a home with no kitties!

Next up is the largest of this nice-sized crew. His shelter name is Shawtzi. They are tossing around a few ideas for what they plan to call him. I'm sure he'll tell them when they figure it out.

SHAWTZI - 2 years, 39.6 # NM Beagle mix - maybe some Lab? :
Balls? Fantastic! Toys? Amazing! Treats? EVEN BETTER! Shawtzi is everything a child could want in a play mate! Adventurous, excited, eager, but most of all SMART. On second thought, perhaps putting Brain back with Pinky may not be what we need. This young man may have some impulse control issues, but who among us can resist a tasty snack on the counter? By the way, no one was actively using that sandwich, so he was fully justified in rehoming it to his stomach. That's how the world works, right? Your honor, my client is innocent, I don't care how many photos or videos you have of him shamelessly stuffing his face, have you looked at said face? He earned it.

Do you wanna see our new Prison Pups?
Oh, my goodness! Once the guys get to know them there will be a couple of name changes. Right now, the names on their paperwork are Loki, Hatch, Shawtzi, and Mr. Scruffleupagus!

Here they are! First up! His shelter name is Hatch. We'll keep you updated on what he tells his handlers is his true name.

HATCH is an 11 month old NM Heeler mix, 30.2lb:
Rough starts in life can turn the best of us bitter, especially when we are mistreated by those who should love us. Hatch knows this better than most, but Hatch refuses to give up hope for mankind and has set out to make sure his next home is his best home. He is smart, engaging, loves to play with toys, but more than anything, this sweet boy has the heart of a squishy teddy bear. We're hoping to find someone who will put the same work and love into him that he will put into them.

It's only a day awaaaaay!

One chocolate, two caramel, one espresso with cream.
One pointy, three floppy, two scruffy, two smooth.
All adorable.

Check back tomorrow for photos and descriptions of our new pups!

HELP US GET READY FOR SESSION 31!
