The Pawsitive Dog Prison Training Program is a cooperative effort between the Airway Heights Corrections Center, SpokAnimal CARE, and Diamonds in the Ruff - Training for Dogs & Their People. Located in Spokane, Washington. Incarcerated individuals at Airway Heights Corrections Center train shelter dogs to make them more adoptable under the guidance of a great team of professional dog trainers from Diamonds in the Ruff - Training for Dogs & Their People, led by Carol Byrnes, CPDT-KA using force free positive training methods. 🎉UPDATE - The application process for our very special Session 31 pups is now closed.

Applications are currently being reviewed by the committee. Meet and greets will be scheduled soon for the top contenders. Thank you all for your continued support!

SESSION 31 ADOPTION APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE APPLYING.

Adoption applications for Jango, Big E, Scruffy, and Loki are now being accepted! Scruffy is looking for a home without kitties.

SpokAnimal's Adoption Fees for the prison pups are as follows:
8 weeks - 6 months: $610
7 months - 1 year: $550
1 year- 7 years: $450
7 years + : $170

*Applications will be taken this week, Sun 11/2 - Sat 11/8.

*Final selections will be made after applications have all been reviewed by a committee and meet and greets have been had.

*Selections will be made solely by matching each special dog with the best home, not on a first come - first served basis.

*There is a $50 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to the adoption fee, if you are selected.

Getting to know these special dogs over the past few weeks has been a treat for all of us. The hard work, dedication, and love the handlers have put in to preparing each one of them for their new home is amazing. Please keep your hearts and minds open for any of these dogs, as we work through this process.

SESSION 31 ADOPTION PROCESS HEADS UP - PLEASE READ. 🍁

It is almost time! Session 31 pups graduate and head home on December 9th.

The first full week of November (11/2 - 11/8), we will post the link here for you to apply to adopt one of the amazing pups in Session 31 (Loki, Jango, Big E, and Scruffy).

At the end of that week, all applications will be reviewed and top contenders will be contacted to schedule meet and greets at that time. Decisions for the best home for each pup will be made by committee.

This process is not first come, first serve so all of the applications received that week will be considered. ⚘️
