Shoutout to our parade winners and some of the amazing people who made the day a success!

Tom Martin from R&J Broadcasting was our savvy announcer, and Aurora Baer was our amazing singer of the National Anthem.

Our judges were all individuals recently new to the area who had NEVER seen the parade!

Curious about them? From left to right, we have:

🌟 Pastor William Verbeke from Northwoods Community Church, who recently moved here from Southwest Florida with a warm and inviting demenor.
🌟 Evvonne Fairchild, the new Director of the Jaques Art Center, is a first-generation Croatian American who loves the various amounts of art and positivity we have in our town.
🌟 Wesley Sanford from the Aitkin Independent Age is originally from Fond du Lac, MN, and is a lifelong newsie. He enjoys short walks and long movies. (If you can’t tell, he also has a great sense of humor.)

Shout out Bandana Eats for coming in today to try our 6lb calzone challenge. He added 68oz of 1919 root beer floats to the challenge to increase the difficulty. He completed all of this with a time of 23 minutes and 18seconds 👏. Congratulations and thanks again for coming to our pizza shop today.

Thank you to few of my team members they put together a shed for a
Free Little Pet Pantry which we are calling it Backwoods Pet Closet
My mission is to provide a helping hand to those facing hardships, ensuring that both pets and their owners have access to the supplies they need to live happy and healthy lives together.
The closet will offer many items including leashes, collar, diapers, shampoos, dishes, toys, dog waste bags, kennels, treats, pet foods, some grooming supplies and many more. Aitkin Backwoods Farm Supply Pet Closet will accept donations of your extra pet supplies and can be placed in the closet or left with one of our team members or myself. With opening of Aitkin Backwoods Pet Closet represents a ray of hope and compassion in our community, reflecting the spirit of generosity and unity that defines us.
