New item!!
We purchased a large amount of concord grapes from a vineyard in Mantua.
With it, we made a bunch of Concord grape jelly!
We now have some down at the farm stand.
The jars are $6 for an 8 oz jar.

** Some of the rings on top of the jars are older. We had a lot donated recently. They have been cleaned, but they have a little rust. All of the lids are new though.

We did a hive inspection yesterday. One of our hives was very low on honey reserves and the bees were stressed. While checking it we noticed a bee emerging. If you look closely you can see what's causing the stress inside of this hive.
We did treatments recently for varroa mites but unfortunately this hive still has plenty. This hive and the one next to it were treated again to ensure we take care of this pest.

We should have some fall honey in the coming days though!!!

Unfortunately we had an egg break in the cooler and had to get it cleaned out today. 🤮
We also ran out of jars, but got some honey filled up.

Let us know if you need something! There's a few dozen eggs down there now. Should be completely stocked this evening.

But we are back to normal! The stand should be pretty full from here on!
Thinking about putting a "Stocked"/"Empty" somewhere down at the stand. Thoughts on this?

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, summer has kept us very busy!
Did an inspection this morning on our hives. We should be collecting our first batch of 2024 honey this week!

The other day we saw some activity on a swarm box that was just sitting next to our barn. As always, the farm stand is full if you need anything! There are some unwashed eggs inside the cooler. Had a customer request them so we put some down there. Lastly, we had a swarm move into a swarm box that we put by the farm stand. If you want to check the bees out feel free to. But please do not get too close, as they are bees, they will defend themselves.
