Our final tech to honor this week is NICK!!! Nick has worked with Dr. Owen for 10 years. He assists in every surgery and helps us all keep moving every day. Nick is also a cattle farmer and makes the best pickles! Lol we keep an endless supply of crackers just for when Nick brings a jar of pickles! Nick is also the type of person that goes out of his way for the people that he cares about. Thank you Nick for everything that you do for us every day!

Meet Kaleigh, today’s honored Vet Tech! Kaleigh is sweet, energetic, loves to learn, and is always ready to help her team. She has dedicated so much of herself to this profession. In her free time, she spends a lot of time learning as much as she can about veterinary medicine. Kaleigh is a huge asset to our team! Thank you Kaleigh for everything you do! Today's honored Vet Tech is Abbi! Abbi always has a smile on her face and is always willing to help her team. She is also a great teacher to the rest of the staff. Whenever anyone has a question or wants to learn how to do something, Abbi is the first to jump in and mentor. She has also helped train many high school students while they were here for their school's externship programs. Her patience and positive attitude definitely help us all get through the rough days! She also makes the BEST cupcakes!!!!

Why do we celebrate Vet Tech Week? Did you know that veterinary professionals have one of the highest rates of su***de based upon other professions? Many people believe that we spend our days playing with puppies and kittens. While we do have moments where we enjoy some play time with furry friends, there are also a lot of moments of sad times. It's difficult for us to help a family say goodbye to their pet and then have to walk out that door, shut off our grief, and then go say hello to the new bouncing puppy in the next room.
So this week, we honor our technicians who work so hard to care for every pet that walks in our door. They work long hours. They miss time with their families, football games, soccer games, baseball games... All so that they can care for that patient in front of them that needs their help. We love you. We see you. We hear you. Thank you for all the sacrifices that you make

The first technician that we would like to honor this week is Michelle. Michelle manages our surgical instruments and prepares them all for upcoming surgeries. She keeps us going so that we can move quickly from one surgery to another. Michelle's hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed in the practice!
Michelle, we appreciate you every day and couldn't function the way we do without you!!!!!
