We are excited for all of you to meet our newest Veterinarian, Dr. Stephanie Jahnke, who will be joining the Akron Peninsula Veterinary Office in early November. She has over 27 years of veterinary experience and is ready to provide the excellent veterinary care we strive for at every visit.

Dr. Jahnke received her Bachelor of Arts in Zoology, cm laude, from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, magna cm laude, from The Ohio State University. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and trained in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. Additional veterinary interests include animal dentistry and surgery.

On a personal note, Dr. Jahnke is a self-proclaimed foodie and science nerd! She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and nutrition, hiking (and all things outdoors), reading, and performance cars.

If you've ever been to our office, I'm sure you've met our sweet office cat, Banjo!

Last week, Banjo had a sarcoma removed from a muscle located behind his rib cage. No worries, though - he is doing great and recovering well. 🥰
