Y'all remember Zoey from yesterday, well this is Zoey's best friend Joe who told her all about the Akron Dog Park. This handsome little devil is the cutest ever! His likes include hiding one of his mom's pairs of shoes at the most inconvenient time, snuggling up with his momma, and coming to the Akron Dog Park as often as his mom will let him!!! His mom, Liz told her bestie Jeanie and her fur baby Zoey all about the Akron Dog Park and now they are all a part of our family. Joe is a big trickster so be sure to bring your pooch down to the Akron Dog Park and introduce yourself and welcome Liz and Joe to the family.

Y'all I am calling this little gal a ball of energy!!! Everyone meet Zoey. She did not care that it was freezing outside at the Akron Dog Park, she was thrilled to be outside playing. I just kept snapping pics thinking that there had to be at least one in focus because Zoey was not about to stop to pose for me. Zoey came to the Akron Dog Park with her mom, Jeanie (dad, Kirk) and her mom's bestie Liz. They drove from Zoarville Ohio, I know I had never heard of it either but it's real. Zoey told me that the Akron Dog Park is high up on her list of best dog parks ever. I told her that I hope she comes back real soon and she said, Try and Stop Me. Welcome Jeanie, Kirk, and Zoey to the Akron Dog Park Family.

Lady dogs please be aware that I am warning your parents now that we have a hunk of a dog to welcome to our family. I am warning your parents now so that they will talk to you all and remind you to be LADIES. Everyone meet Gaius. The pictures do not do him justice, he is so handsome and I just wanted to cuddle with him and I am confident all the lady dogs at the park will want to do the same! Mom, Cari, is well aware of how handsome her boy is but we both agree he has no clue. He just wants to play and make friends. I found Gaius to be a very interesting name so I looked it up, according to Google, "Gaius is an ancient name with powerful Roman connections. With Latin origins meaning “to rejoice." Put on your layers and come to the Akron Dog Park today and welcome the Greek God himself, Gaius and his Queen mother Cari.

Akron Dog Park Family I met this big guy a while ago but I had forgotten to get Dad's name. Everyone meet Doug. That is correct, Doug the Dog. Doug is young, goofy and is looking for friends. I definitely am a huge fan because he was just so adorable. He wanted to play with every dog at the park. Doug's dad, Brian, enjoys the Akron Dog Park because here, he gets a break from having to keep Doug entertained, lol. If no dogs want to play, you can be sure Doug will find his way to get them to play OR he will make his own fun by himself. As you can see in the pictures Buddy enjoyed playing with Doug. Akron Dog Park Family, help me welcome Doug and Brian to our Family.

Attention BARC Park visitors. The water has been turned off at the park for the winter. To provide water for the dogs to drink, we have several gallon milk and tea jugs at the park filled with water which will start being kept in the blue (big dog side and red (little dog side) coolers so they do not freeze overnight and burst.

We ask that if you find empty jugs and you plan on coming back to the park again, take home an empty jug or two and refill them and bring them back at your next visit. If everyone helps keep the rotation going of refilling the jugs, there can always be fresh water for the dogs

LOST DOG ALERT ***** ATTENTION ***** LOST DOG ALERT

DAISY, an almost 2 year old vizsla mix. She was last seen in the Akron Dog Park i.e. Memorial Parkway and she has also been spotted on Uhler Avenue. She does not have her collar on but she is microchipped. If spotted please call or message her owner Ben. She will most likely be scared so maybe do not approach her but rather contact her dad, Ben.

Just when you think you have met every cute dog at the Akron Dog Park, another one pops up. Akron Dog Park Family take a look at this pretty little lady!!!! I mean look at that face, those ears, her coat, I mean she is the whole package. Akron Dog Park Family meet Mia. Mia is a little timid so no sneaking up behind her. She is the sweetest little angel and most definitely her mama's baby. Mia and her mom, Jen (Chris), were out for a stroll at the ADP when I met them, enjoying the gorgeous weather we have been having. Get out to the Akron Dog Park soon before the weather has us putting on multiple layers. Be sure to say hi to Mia, Jen, and Chris and welcome to the Akron Dog Park Family.

Take a look at this beautiful face!!! I wouldn't be able to say no to that face ever. I could come home to a destroyed couch and all she would have to do is bat those eyes at me and I would end up apologizing to her for having a couch in her space. Everyone meet Melendez. She is a lover not a fighter and just looking to meet some friends. I caught her and her parents, Samantha and Mike, while they were on their way out of the park and I am thrilled I got to meet her. She is very calm and grateful that her mom and dad brought her to the Akron Dog Park. If your dog is looking to make new friends, bring them to the Akron Dog Park, they will meet a lifelong friend in no time.

Hello Akron Dog Park Family Members, I wanted to share with you all the pretty little lady that I got to meet at the Akron Dog Park. Everyone meet Violet! What do you think ADPF, was she named after the color or the flower? 🤷🏻‍♀️ ...hmmm I'm not sure. I didn't have time to ask her adorable parents, Lindsey and Nick, because I was too busy trying to get photos of her. Violet didn't want to sit still, which is understandable, she just wanted to play. My phone was not cooperating because it was getting dark out BUT have no fear, mom was there!! Lindsey turned on her flashlight app on her phone which helped me get these photos. As you can see, Violet has quite the personality. Come to the Akron Dog Park today and introduce your pooch to Violet.

BARC puts on these events so that Akron Dog Owners can have a dog park. The Akron Dog Park is THE ONLY DOG PARK IN AKRON. BARC members and some of our gracious family members completely maintain the park.
