Shop update. Yes, I'm still backed up. Yes, I am behind schedule. Yes, I'm in the shop getting work done every day I can however, I am having time away due to Dr visits and the effects of stage 4 kidney disease. My numbers have dropped enough that I am looking at home kidney dialysis 4 times a day until I can get the machine so that I can do dialysis at night while I sleep, then hopefully qualifying for a transplant. On a side note, our shop phone is only on from 10am to 5pm as it's always been.

An Important Update from American Taxidermy Company

Many of you have entrusted us with preserving your cherished hunting memories, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. We want to be transparent with our valued clients about a recent challenge facing American Taxidermy.

Our owner and senior taxidermist, John, has been experiencing some physical limitations and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease. This condition can significantly impact energy levels and require adjustments to daily routines.

Rest assured, all trophies in our possession are safe and secure. We are committed to completing every project to John's usual high standard. However, due to John's current health, completion times may be extended. We understand this may be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this new normal.

John's focus right now is on his health and well-being, as is the focus of his family. They are learning to live day-to-day with this new challenge, and we ask for your understanding during this time. We are looking forward to John being released from care and getting home soon so that he can get some rest and decent food so that he can start spending productive time in the taxidermy studio.

We will continue to keep you updated on any significant changes to our operations. In the meantime, thank you for your continued trust in American Taxidermy Company.

Unfortunately the shops closed for at least a couple days. Currently admitted waiting some tests.

That time of year again. The studio is closed till opening day of deer season, we are off for vacation.
After the struggles over the past couple years, I really really can't remember a time that I've needed a vacation with my family as bad as this year.

Sometimes I forget everything we have been through over the past several years however, Sometimes I really feel it all. If it wasn't for my wife Loretta I honestly know I wouldn't be able to do everything that I do.
Yes this has contributed to my back log of work. Some days are simply better than others. Just know that I haven't given up once and I'm not about to start now. Yep, things take a lot more time and things seem to a lot more labor involved than they used to however, I'm chopping away at it day by day.

Sam Spataro caught and released a possible state record northern pike, not wanting to harm the fish. Carl Bachtel and others stepped up to get him a replica mount.

Hello everyone, long time no see...here's our update.
Not much has been getting finished the past few weeks as I had another surgery however...99% certain that was my very last one. Had a couple Dr. Appointments over the past few days and the word is GOOD and one of them gave me GREAT news!
All that being said, I have a few projects that need completed this week however, starting this coming Monday we will be back to full time hours and 100% focused on producing quality work in a timely manner.
