Punk! This girl is our runt, but has been keeping up wonderfully from the start. She has SO much black in her coat, so no room for ticking. This girl loves running full sp*ed and straight into her siblings, she loves biting her siblings. She isn’t too happy to be starting real puppy food, and if her feet get dirty she is OUT 🤣 This girl is tiny but mighty. I’m glad to see her finally coming into her own, and showing her personality!

Axel. This boy cracks me up. Half of the time his tongue is sticking out, the other half he’s usually trying to pounce on someone. He has a perfect pumpkin spot on him still, and has the goofiest personality. He is a big boy, too, but still the smallest of the three males. He does not have much ticking, but an almost perfectly split face (and his ears are browning!). I just love him! 😂

RocketDog. She is the biggest girl, and also the attention hog 😂 If you are in the room and she isn’t being held or talked to- she’s going to whine at you! She’s also the first puppy to have learned to p**p AND p*e in the litter box. Her solid white back is now covered in black ticking, and her legs are following behind with tan. She has sad eyes and 1000% uses them for evil. Only puppy that goes totally limp when you hold her, and will just chill in your arms on her back with no adjustment needed. I have no doubt she will be a people lover for life.

Rufus! This boy is our attitude of the bunch 🤣 He loves to talk, and if he is mad about something.. he will tell you. He’s catching up to Pookie in size, but they’re still such different pups. Rufus has a really short, dense coat, making him super soft. And he is my “Dalmatian”… his spots haven’t stopped coming in for weeks now! His back is full of black ticking, and his muzzle and legs have tan ticking all over. He is also getting some brown in on his ears, so I’m excited to see what that turns into.

Daisy girl! She is the 2nd smallest puppy, but has the biggest energy. This girl is so sweet, but was the first to learn how to escape the pen and needs 25% less naps than the others. She is confident and pushes the bigger puppies around. Total cutie, and a little butthead in the best way 😂 She also does not have a ton of ticking! She has her spots, then her white coat (so far).

Flower! She was the loudest puppy the first few days of life, and has turned out to be a lover. This girl is ALWAYS wagging her whole little butt, and reminds me so much of Meera. She gets super excited when she hears somebody coming in the room, and just wants to be in your lap or playing. It’s hard to not just pick her up and hold her every time she wiggles. She has a bunch of light black ticking down her back, and some tan on her legs!

Pookie! These are photos from birth to now. He was our first born and largest puppy.. he is still the biggest. He has a bunch of black ticking around his larger spots, and some tan ticking on his legs! He loves to talk to you, and has no idea that his little teeth are so sharp. He loves to eat, has had zero issues with weaning 😂

The Meerkats are a whole one MONTH old! I am going to be uploading pictures of the puppies separately later, so that everyone can see their growth and new spots. So far they are LOVING puppy mush (Meera decided they needed their own food immediately.. lol), and catching on to using the litter box! They’re getting so big and so spunky. This is the fun time!

First moments in the new setup! Play is being attempted.. they’re just very roll-y still 😂 Today they are 18 days old, everyone’s eyes are open, and they’re barking.. a LOT! It’s cute, but this is why they’ve been upgraded to the bigger setup in the guest room. 3 am wake ups from barking/howling babes is not fun, even if they’re cute 😂

(Also everyone got new collars- I want them to be used to collars before they actually notice that there’s something on their neck!)

We have EYES and the pups turned 2 weeks old yesterday! Pookie, RocketDog and Axel have their eyes open the most, but everybody else has little tiny openings. They’re moving around nonstop if they aren’t asleep, and I think we are finally seeing some personality shining. I am serious when I say these babes are chunky and SO cuddly. They’ll be upgraded to a new setup soon, now that they’re seeing the world and able to “follow” a bit.

The pups are a whole FIVE days old! We finally decided on a theme for this litter, and have given them names for while they’re with us! We are using some names from the old show “Meerkat Manor”, as that is where Meera’s full name came from, and the inspiration for this program! Introducing the males: Pookie, Axel, and Rufus; and the females: Flower, Daisy, RocketDog, and Punk! Pookie and RocketDog are both over 15 ounces as of today, and the others are not too far behind. They’re finally barking and growling (and sometimes howling) in their sleep, and will not be still unless they’re asleep or eating! Sweet Meera is slowly becoming ok with being away from them for more than 2 minutes, and is enjoying the extra food and back scratches. They still have that fresh puppy smell, and we are loving every minute!

The puppies have arrived!
Meera delivered all 7 last night, and it looks like we have a full black tricolor litter 😂 There are 4 females and 3 males. The pictures show who is what, with their collar color! The first puppy was hefty, but after he was delivered things went smoothly. Mama is doing good, just enjoying being able to walk normal again I think. (The extra food right now is also probably a bonus). 💙

We are in the final days!! Our earliest “safe” delivery day is Monday, so we are officially reaching puppy-watch mode. We have our supplies together and near her whelping setup, someone prepared to be home 24/7 all week, and poor Meera is already tired of having her temperature taken (need to know our baseline!). I’m SO excited to share this journey, and the incoming puppy photos!

Welcome to “Odom’s Teddy Manor”! We are located in Alabaster, AL, and are expecting our first Teddy litter in the next few weeks. Our ‘star of the show’ is Meera (aka Aspens LookinLyka Meerkat FCAT), a blue tricolor female Teddy. Meera is first and foremost a member of our family, and LOVES to be let loose on the FastCat field. We enjoy taking her around to events as often as we can, and letting her run to her heart’s content. She is fully health tested to the breeds requirement, and those results are accessible through OFA and Embark. We are members of the Teddy breed clubs (UTRTCA and ATRTC) and Meera is UKC and AkC registered.

Our goal in breeding is to produce well-rounded healthy puppies, who fit the breed standard. Teddies are not as common as Labradors or Beagles, but they are a hidden gem in all ways. These dogs are happy to run all day outside, or snuggle on the couch watching tv with you. Their coat is short and tight, meaning they are a “wash and go” type. They are SO smart and clever, and truly love their people. This is a breed that comes prepped to love everyone, no matter the persons age or size, and eager to learn new tricks. They do love to chase small furry critters, but adjust to life with non-dog family members well when raised accordingly. This is a great breed for farm life, living in the suburbs, or even cozying up in an apartment (with plenty of toys and stimulation). I’m ALWAYS happy to answer questions and chat with prospective new families! Welcome!
