For the first time ever, WEC – Ocala will showcase an international hunter derby this Friday! Join us at 7pm in the WEC Stadium (purple seats) for the $80,000 LeMieux USHJA International Hunter Derby.

Watch top hunter professionals compete under the lights over a challenging track. The top 12 will advance to the handy round to showcase their horse’s rideability and style.

Admission and parking are free. Note, times are subject to change.

I love this! I teach (and have taught) a lot of kids… keep it simple when they start. I hear some trainers going on and on using language that kids under 10 (and heck, non horsey teens and adults too!) don’t understand. I’m sure to the kids they start to sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher. I like to focus on two things to start- hands and heels. Once those are starting to come together, then I add something else. And so on. I’m also blessed with amazing school horses and firmly believe that kids learn by doing and following. Have a kid struggling to post with endless “up/down up/down up/down” phrases? Stick them behind a rider who posts well (or well enough) and let them follow. It would sometimes take some of my students a month before they could post with me standing holding a lunge line and saying “up/down” a million times. Now they usually get it on the first lesson (yep I do my first time riders in a group lesson) while following another rider. And for heavens sake.. BE POSITIVE! You want them to come back, right?

Look who came to visit us last week! She’s counting down the days until she can ride. Neuro said she’s good to go next month and ortho said keep walking and stretching the leg. We can’t wait until Kenzli Zingaro is back!!!

Foxmor Jetsetter is available to borrow or keep. Has most recently been ridden by a crossrails rider but is ready to do the w/t to the medium pony hunter division. Super easy and always jumps. Ribbons at 2024 Pony Finals in the greens. Located 45 min north of WEC Ocala. Low-mid 5️⃣’s depending on borrow or keep.

We had so much fun at the 2nd Annual Cavalli Farm Halloween Party and Parade. The costumes were outstanding this year! Congrats Kenzli!

Tune in to watch Trenton FFA’s Kenzli Zingaro walk across the stage as a top 4 NATIONAL finalist in the Equine Placement category at 7 PM this evening! Results will be announced during session 3! No matter the outcome, we are so proud of her outstanding accomplishments and are excited to see the impact she will continue to have on the equine industry. Go Kenzli!!! 🐴🏆

📣 Important Update for 2024 Season Riders! 📣

We’ve made a change to the year-end awards eligibility requirements! For the 2024 season, riders will now need to participate in 3 horse shows to qualify for year-end awards. 🏅

Additionally, our November 9th Horse Show will be a double points show, giving you an extra opportunity to boost your standings for year-end awards! 🐴✨

We hope these adjustments make it easier for everyone to stay in the running for those year-end honors. Mark your calendars and plan ahead—we can’t wait to see you at the November 9th Show at the Florida Horse Park!
