Our Story
Hi! I’m Tony, Founder and Owner of Alameda Mobile Animal Care and Veteran of the United States Army where I served with the 1st Bn 75th Ranger Regiment out of Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, GA.
My career in the pet medical field and pet care industry began more than 20 years ago when my beautiful male Akita named Damion was diagnosed with cancer. It was heartbreaking to lose him, however it was through his treatment and steady care that my love and desire to care for animals turned into a profession. Shortly after this life-changing experience, I started to work in the veterinary field and have supported many different veterinary hospitals and clinics since. Some of the animals I’ve cared for include: dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and rescued wildlife.
Over the years, I’ve remained current with grooming techniques through coursework at the SPCA San Francisco. From 2011-2013, I completed the two-year veterinary technician program at Carrington College, which complimented my in-the-field experience. I came out of the program knowing that I wanted to find a way to reach people and pets outside of the hospital and clinic environment.
While our services aren’t meant to replace the role of a veterinary doctor in your pet’s life, my goal is to remove as much stress as possible from the day-to-day basic needs of your pets. I firmly believe that a pet’s health can be improved through regular comfort grooming and know that as your partner in their care, together we can make your relationship stronger.
