Frankie's people are no longer able to care for her and we are helping to spread the word about this sweet three year old lab/border collie in hopes that she can find a new home. She is friendly with other dogs and people (including kids). She is confident and smart, good in the car, loves to run, food motivated. Would do best with an active household and possibly another resident dog. She needs a little help with some leash reactivity, but is not reactive off leash. Good afternoon everyone!

I have been back and forth about some things since December.

I have to make some changes to how I operate beginning in March.

*** 2025 Pricing ***

For 2025, unless something drastic happens here I have no plans to increase prices across the board.

I will have to charge more for some dogs because of the length of time it takes or the complexity of their appointment.

The price that is charged now is reflective of the amount of time X breed should take, small dogs for instance should take 1.5 - 2 hours.

Running over causes some appointments to become loss making.

I think it’s best to do that individually instead of an increase for everyone.

***Merchant fees ***

Merchant Fees are becoming a real drain costing me $1,000’s a year which I have absorbed since opening, I can’t afford it anymore.

Beginning in March

Cash and check payments will stay the same.

Card payments will have to have a merchant fee added.

I will provide a hard copy receipt for all cash and check payments.

*** Late Drop Off and Pick Up ***

Within reason or unless previously agreed upon there will be no additional charges, persistent offenders or those with no reasonable explanation will be charged $3 per minute from time of agreed drop or collection

Minimum charge will be an additional 10 minutes or $30

I will donate $1.50 per minute or minimum $15 to charity.

30 minutes + with no explanation will be charged double their appointment.

I hope this is fair for everyone going forward.

All money raised will be donated, I will personally top up the day to the total of $1000

Please message me to book an appointment for your own dog, a relatives dog, a friend or Neighbor, it doesn’t matter who comes in once all appointments are filled.

Good morning everyone,

Time is so precious!

On Tuesday we lost a big part of my wife’s family, it has left everyone devastated.

At this time of year travel is almost impossible but my wife made the journey home to Ireland to say her goodbyes.

That left me here to look after my son and stay open to fulfill my obligations to those that had booked appointments.

On Monday morning I had a zero notice cancellation, wasted time!

Yesterday someone decided it was ok for them to ignore a pick up time and leave their dog here for over an hour longer than necessary, more wasted time!

I’m a further show of indifference towards me and my time this same person had a pair of golf gloves in their hand.

It’s none of my business what people do when their dog is here but having to take responsibility for a dog for longer than agreed is absolutely my business.

Needless to say neither will be coming back ever again.

At this time of year a few minutes late to drop off or a late pick up (that hasn’t been already agreed upon) all add up and cost me precious time with my family, that is no longer acceptable in any capacity.

I want to apologize to those on my cancellation list, if I had known in time I would have called but I didn’t know until after the fact that people wouldn’t show or that I’d have extra time in which I could have helped.

My sincere apologies to those waiting on 2025 appointments, I’ll get everything settled soon.

Ladies and gentlemen! Time is so precious, don’t waste it or allow it to be wasted for someone else’s indifference.

A few months ago I met Michelle who owns Lovely Brows & Skin here in Alameda.

It doesn’t take long when you meet a business owner to know how much they care about what they do, this lady cares a lot.

If a person like me that has no experience in this area can be convinced of how good a service is without trying it, it must be good!

If you are looking for a great gift to give someone or if you need to drop a few hints this holiday season, Im sure a gift card for here would make someone very happy.

Good morning everyone,

Small issue to tell you about!

In October I sent out group messages telling clients that my schedule for 2025 was opening on October 25th.

A lot of you came back and were scheduled without too many problems.

What I didn’t realize at the time was there is a threshold on the amount of group messages I can send.

I think that between 75-100 messages were delivered but the other approximately 100 messages were not delivered.

Once I hit the threshold all messages go into a sort of black hole until the phone company or system resets.

The reset process takes up to 4 days!

In that 4 day period I can receive messages and for my part I can respond but the responses go nowhere.

If you are waiting to schedule appointments for next year or have not heard back from me please let me know.

I’ll get through all requests shortly after Christmas.

Who wants a puppy for Christmas?? Penny is joining the HOTDog fam this week! Looks like a lab mix to us and the shelter has her listed as 9 weeks old. Can’t wait to get to know this baby girl and find her a family of her very own!

Attached are opening hours for December through New Year.

Appointments already made are set as per your requests, no need to worry.

There is usually a little movement with availability as almost all December appointments were made 14 months ago.

Cancellation list is open but there are no guarantees.

Full service will resume on January 6th with the addition of Saturday Bathing Appointments.
