Another successful show weekend! This time at City of Industry in Southern California. I cannot express how proud I am of our breeding program. Our own Shikoku girl, Suzume won ALL 4 Best In Open Shows over the weekend. This was a huge compliment from entries of as many as 12 lovely dogs.

This was a fun, but BUSY weekend. I missed many of my Shibas Nationals ring times due to conflicts, but this one was worth it. It was such an honor to place with a judge that is so passionate about our Nihon Ken and reflecting the NIPPO standards in our US breeding programs. Thank you Mrs. Cindy Vogels for your compliments on Suzume, and awarding her a Best In Open Show from a lovely line up of dogs. Thank you KC of Riverside for hosting these beautiful shows. What a lovely memorial to Jeff Heim. This man, a Handler, Ring Steward, Dog Lover and Friend to many was one of the positive people that kept me coming back to the shows. Such a loss for our dog community.
