It’s Wishlist Wednesday and we need your help with our most dire need! We have plenty of fans, treats, beds. But what we do not have currently is a way to truly set our dogs up for success. Right now, spay/neuter is at a standstill. We have booked future appointments, but we are rabies control and can not hold dogs while waiting for appointments.

The update ya’ll have been looking for. All three puppies abandoned on County Line Road are safe! We are over capacity but we are extremely grateful for Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter for giving these pups a safe place to go. They did not hesitate to help and we can’t thank them enough. This is why cooperation between shelters matters. Collaboration over competition. When shelters team up everyone wins, especially the dogs.

These are the faces of abandonment. Tossed out in the middle of nowhere with trash, never vaccinated or dewormed, and left to fend for themselves against the elements, predators, and parasites. Not even given a chance. Spay & Neuter your pets. Be decent human beings. Live with empathy, not apathy. If you recognize these pups please call us at 731-663-5399. Discarded on County Line Road at the Crockett/Haywood Line. Please do not approach and please do not feed. They are staying to one spot and we need the 3 hungry to go in the traps before they succumb to their worm bellies as well.

I want to know who is “missing” these dogs. Both male. Abandoned on Hicks Lane in Maury City. Clearly had collars on too tight that were removed before dropping them off. Please call us at 731-663-5399 with any information. And thank you to the good samaritan that stopped for them. This intake puts us over capacity.
