Forever Homes Animal Rescue 501c3 - Nonprofit We have been rescuing animals in need since 2005. We officially got our nonprofit status in May 2015. Last, an adoption contract is required.

We mainly transport out of high euthanasia areas including columbus, alamogordo, El Paso, las cruces, West Texas, Clovis, Portales, Artesia, Lordsburg, Lovington, and Tularosa. We work diligently to assist with transporting dogs out of our local kill shelters to other cities and states, where they are received by No-Kill Rescues, many able to find their adoptive family in less than 2 weeks! ordo, NM simply doesn't have enough adopters who put animal welfare, and their furry friend isn't treated the way they deserve. Feel free to ask for help if you are a breed specific rescue and need help networking, transporting, or pulling one of your breed located in our area (Ill be happy to help for a couple hours in any direction)

All of our rescues require an initial adoption questionnaire before a meeting can be set up. Once this is completed, a meeting at the potential adopters home can be done with the animal to ensure a proper fit. We are a non- profit, and have received our tax -exempt status with the IRS. Which means all donations are tax deductible. Please, research before you donate if a rescue states they are non-profit, because there is a difference. nonprofit Id: 5051266

Hello, followers! We could use your help again. We were out trapping a pregnant dog (we got her) and came across another owner with 3 female dogs, one of which currently has puppies.
We would like to stop the cycle of puppies, but we need your help. We need to raise $90 each to spay all 3 adult females and stop the cycle. (The low cost clinic in Mescalero tomorrow isn’t an option because he doesn’t have a car ).
Can you help me raise $270 to stop the cycle of puppies for all 3 dogs?
We try to focus on transport, but we also like to put sterilized dogs back into our community. Thank you for helping us change our community for the better!

This evening an overcrowded shelter reached out about a sweet little paralyzed girl and her two sisters. They really had a rough day, and when this little girl was brought in, it was just too much to think of having to put her down. We want to help the shelter avoid euthanasia for all three but we need to raise money for alter for all three ($85 x 3) and transport for the little girl with paralysis. ($100).
$355 total and we can save this whole family from the shelter.

This morning 5 lucky passengers got to head to Albuquerque! They came from shelters as far as Logan where the shelter is just a fenced in yard with a dog house, and as close as Alamogordo where the owner passed away. They are so excited to have families of their own and thank you for the chance.

I can successfully say our NM transplants are enjoying Pennsylvania life.

Look at these babies up for adoption at Alamogordo Animal Control.

Update can anyone transport El Paso to Lordsburg ? I just don’t know what to do. I NEED rescues that can accept fully vetted medium and large breed puppies. I’m coming begging you for help. Do not tag rescues unless you have asked them and they are able to help. I get messages like this every day and as much as I can fundraise , if I can’t find placement, we can’t help them. I want to cry telling her no. Please help me find a rescue. We have fully vetted German shepherd puppies, mixed breed puppies and we cover all the vetting. “I know you are overwhelmed but this baby won’t make it out in desert much longer. If coyotes don’t get him, a pack of stray dogs will, a stray female is in heat, he’s only about 4 months old but he doesn’t understand why his buddies are now aggressive towards him.” Help me.

We weren’t able to save one of the seniors from last week due to advanced cancer, so we wanted to let you know we moved the funds to this little one with a fractured pelvis and luxating patella. He is young and friendly and wasn’t ready to give up. I’m sure we won’t have enough to cover everything , so if you have a few bucks you might be willing to throw his way, he would surely appreciate it.

Did you know that black dogs have the lowest adoption rate than any other color dog in the shelter?! This is known as "Black dog syndrome". Common reasons why black dogs don't get adopted are: 1. Black dogs stand out less than lighter colored dogs in shelters. 2. Superstition 3. Many people are simply unaware of Black Dog Syndrome and oversee these dogs since their pictures aren't as "flashy". Hopefully, with an increase of awareness, this trend will soon be a thing of the past. These two girls have a reduced $25 adoption fee so they don’t grow up in the shelter. They have had 3 rounds of shots , rabies vaccine, will be microchipped with registration, and are fixed. Please consider adoption today. Please share them with your friends. Please consider them for your rescue.
