1. Fresh Water: Always have plenty of cool, fresh water available for your pets.

2. Limit Outdoor Activities: Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours. Opt for early morning or late evening walks to protect paws from hot asphalt.

3. Watch for Heat Stroke: Be vigilant for signs like heavy panting, difficulty breathing, and mobility issues. Seek immediate veterinary help if you suspect heat stroke.

4. Provide Shade: Ensure your pets have access to shaded areas all day long if they're outdoors.

5. Never Leave Pets in Cars: Even with the windows cracked, cars quickly become dangerously hot. Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle.

***Adopted*** Everyone here at the shelter are hoping for a Christmas miracle! Meet Max, he has been with us since November. We know we have several that have been with us longer but Max is having a hard time. Max, we believe has some neurological issues and sometimes has a little bit harder time with all the noise and other things that come along with being at a shelter. We have been giving him all the extra love we can, but Max needs a forever home ASAP! He has such a sweet personality, loves to be loved on and treats! He is incredibly well behaved, he looks to be about 2 to 3 years old. If you come to visit him please let us know, we have him in a special room to help him feel more comfortable.
