A very very special thank you to Ann Judd, Jib Liska and the patrons of My Sister's Bake Shop, Grace DeShaw-Wilner, Kim Koons, and Atticus and Finch's future mama, Darlene Mackett, who have covered their neuters and many supplies during their foster care. And another thank you to Kevin and Mary Donner who provided MANY veggies from their farm for the buns, and Izzy Mac who also provided many veggies from her little farm. And to the several other wonderful people who brought fruit branches, I'm sorry I've forgotten your names! Everyone has been so kind. The boys will be neutered tomorrow morning and going to their new home next week Saturday 💕

Sorry for the lack of updates, life has thrown some curve balls at me! Atticus got to go to my sons prek class today for a short presentation. He did amazing and I know he would make a great therapy bunny one day. (Faces are blotted out for privacy purposes of kiddos.)

I have found Atticus and Finch the jackpot of all bunny homes with a Facebook friend I met through the house rabbit society many years ago. In one month I will make the long drive up north to deliver them to their new mama and they will be neutered a few days prior. It is hard to say goodbye but I feel so so relieved they are going to an experienced house rabbit home, who already has house rabbits in her home, and will continue to update on these boys as they continue on into their lives as beloved fur kids. Thank you to everyone who has donated and helped in their rescue. The kindness of our community really warms my heart. I will probably have to find a new home myself soon so it was really a great adventure to have these boys with me while I could. If anyone wants to donate any further assistance for their last month with me and travel up north, any help is greatly appreciated. It's been a rough road financially, but I'll do whatever I can for these boys.

Due to having to refinance my home at double what I currently owe/pay, I found out today I cannot afford to keep Atticus and Finch. It is going to be a struggle making it through winter with just the current brood of animals I have. I am determined to find them an amazing home, so if anyone knows anyone wanting to take on two amazing house rabbits please contact me. They will be neutered November 7th, I will provide transportation to and from unless an adopter wants to do this, and I am working on getting donations to cover that, some very generous people have already got us close! Any prospective adopters will be thoroughly vetted and must keep them as indoor house rabbits with ample cage free time, and I hope keep me updated on them. They are already very good about using a litterbox and this will only improve post neutering. They have had 2 revolution doses, but probably should receive one more in 4 weeks (30mg cat dose each). They would come with a bulk bag of pellets and hay. They use pelleted pine litter from TSC and need fresh greens daily. I am heartbroken I cannot keep them but I think I was only meant to be a stepping stone for these beautiful boys to find their forever home.

Some people have asked for my venmo for donations to the bunnies neuter and for some reason for 2 days now I am unable to reply to any comments. So here is my venmo account name. As I am going through a divorce right now and financially and housing wise things are getting rather scary there is a chance I may have to rehome these beautiful boys. But I am determined to get them neutered, rebonded, and on the path to litter trained first if possible. They would only be rehomed to someone willing to keep them as house rabbits with ample run time outside of a cage and they would come with all supplies I have bought and collected for them and I would forever be available for questions about their care.

We are in much need of funds to afford to get these boys neutered in November. So I'm throwing this out there, my novel is available on amazon for sale. It is a supernatural thriller, and everyone tells me they can't put it down. So if you're an avid reader check it out. I get about $4.80 per book sold.

The boys just weren't getting enough run time with my insane schedule and stress I'm dealing with right now, so I made them a play pen so throughout the day they can each have some run time outside their pens unsupervised, and if I have time at night it gives them a nice space for swapping who gets the whole basement to have supervised romps in because Finch is still attacking Atticus. And behold clean cages...for 3...2...1...

We have been working on socializing everyone. Thankfully all my cats and dog are super chill and friendly. My big 16lb boy Zahri is even a bit scared of them LOL, he is the tabby. And Atticus finished off the night with his prayers 😍❤ *pardon my separating floors

Wish us luck on our trip to Kinross tomorrow for our very first vet checkup! I'm really hoping I can keep both these boys as every day they show new personalities and fun little quirks, so hoping finances and time allow, and fighting subsides after neuter which it most likely will. And insert PHOTO BOMB!

After finally catching the boys chasing each other and finding a minor nip wound on Atticus, I had to seperate the boys. Atticus gets pretty scared away from Finch, Finch is just a curious little clown, but I was able to set them up side by side in dog kennels in a much better set up to help with litter training and to cut down on mess and food wasting. I plan to let them have at least an hour or two running around at night in the kitchen or another "safe" floor together supervised so they remain bonded and get more exercise. Once they are neutered things will settle WAY down, the hormones will take a hike, no more trying to mount and show dominance, and litter training will be a breeze with these smart boys. This mama cant wait for that neuter date!!! Finch is the manly man, always chinning everything (marking his scent) and honk grunting, LOL. And if you've never smelled an intact rabbit when they are scent marking, just imagine little skunk perfume letting loose periodically 🤢

The kids got some romp time today after repeatedly escaping from their pen and causing some messes. They seem worn down a bit now! All my resident fur kids are excited about their company and getting along super well. Jax is my aussie blue heeler mix, Jenna my 18 year old orange kitty, and Luka my cow kitty. No one else decided to join us downstairs tonight.

Little snuggle interaction time before bed. A little scared yet but curious.

These two are making such leaps and bounds forward. They enjoy pets and let my son pet them while eating, take food gently from our hands, and I hear them doing zoomies all day, LOL, hence the pine shavings everywhere! They will switch to pine pellets litter this weekend. They are too cute for words and my 5 year old adores them (tho he fancies his frogs more 🤣). My 18 year old cat Jenna has taken to visiting the bunnies too and laying by their pen.

Finch got a bath tonight. You really shouldn't give a rabbit a full bath, but these guys are so filthy, and I could tell Finch was chill enough to tolerate it. You have to be careful to keep them warm and make sure they dry all the way, as well. But who wouldn't want to sit with a bunny in there lap and watch them clean themselves!

I am so relieved we got Atticus and Finch rescued when we did and I got them inside yesterday because the coyote pups just started coming out to play. This is their serenade tonight.

Thanks to some lovely recommendations I was able to find a vet in Kinross that only charges $147 a bunny for neuter and $36 a bunny for a wellness exam appt that must be done prior. Hopefully I can get these boys in fast as they are spraying urine as if for fun on every surface they can 🤣🤦‍♀️
