Come on down to the Marys River Grange Hall the Harvest Festival is in full swing! I’ve got fresh baked scones, Irish Rum Raisin and Chocolate Chip Pumpkin, and delicious Butterfinger Banana Bread. Large selection of small batch jams including Cherry Raspberry Vanilla Bean and Strawberry Rhubarb Jalapeño! Look forward to seeing you! 🌺

The farms in bloom! I just love lilies. Some of my favorite are from The Farmers Daughter in Philomath. She has some of the most unique flowers!

Happy Summer Lovelies! What’s on your to do list during this heat wave? I put up loganberry jam, raspberry jam, cherry rasp vanilla bean jam, red, white, and blue jam, and will be processing nectarine jam today.
Have a bunch of berries in the freezer to bag. Pro tip: Wash your berries and spread on a wax paper cookie sheet and place in the freezer. I bag in 2 cup amounts and get the bags back to the freezer ASAP. This keeps the berries from being a big frozen glob.
I see some slip n slide in the future! Stay cool!🌺

Breakfast Burritos hot out of the canner! Taters, onion, bell peppers, celery, and sausage. You can drain the liquid and make gravy. Dump the jar, heat, add some eggs and cheese. Serve in a burrito or in a bowl! A couple of these will make an easy camp breakfast.

Strawberries are on! Made a big batch of Strawberry Rhubarb Jalapeño jam! It turned out so good! Can’t wait to have some on a cheese bagel. 🍓

Rose water this weekend! My rose bushes are bursting with flowers and they smell divine! I made a gallon of rose water which can be used topically or ingested. Had a square fall off the shelf in the garage while doing some organizing and it dropped right onto a jar of sweet tea concentrate, popped the lid open. Soooooo we made sweet tea with rose water and boy is it delicious!

Redbud Jelly! Did you know you can make floral jellies out of a wide variety of flowers? This is redbud jelly made from the redbud tree, isn’t it lovely?!? Up next is ‘poor man’s honey’ aka dandelion jelly! 😋

Working on a couple baskets for the Salmon and Jazz dinner. Tickets are on sale for a couple more weeks so get yours before they are gone!
I’m doing a beverage box for one but not sure what to do for the second basket. Any ideas? What would tickle your fancy?!?

Spring Break means snacking at home. I had some things I needed to use and the kids need a treat. Tropical Pudding! Crust is toasted coconut, graham cracker, and roasted macadamia nuts with some butter. Layer banana pudding, pineapple pie filling, and coconut pudding. No, this is not shelf stable, it will be in the fridge. Can’t wait to try one! 🌺
