I start the first lesson with sit and wait. Gradually I walk away starting with 3 steps. Then when they are ready I slowly increase the time for them to stay. This comes in handy for many things. Is your pup getting under your feet? Think of all the things this training would be good for. Contact me by text, email or call. A happy pup is obedience trained. 🐕 🐶 Oh no, I see a doe. Good thing my dogs will sit and stay.

Please don't walk your dog on the hot pavement. I see people out in this heat wave walking their dog's and I cringe. And I'm a dog walker by trade. Early morning or evening will work.

This what can happen walking your dog on hot pavement.
Don't do it !
Grass is much cooler....and early and late in the day.

To my human moms & dads, this is what happens to my paws when you take me out in the scorching sun ☀️ when the pavement is so hot !
Remember I sweat through my paws, so in this heat I can’t get rid of my sweat as my paws are burning. Missing my walk won’t harm me. Please let me just relax indoors and take me out when the sun is down🐾
If you see someone walking their dog on hot pavement, ask them to take off their shoes for the remainder of their walk home. Maybe then they'll understand.

Took my sweetie horseback riding. Best day of the summer. We brushed and fed the horses. Let them sniff us and the trust started. I was amazed I still had it in me. I felt so liberated back on the horse.

Heartworm was never an issue in N.Y. Now the Vet's are seeing some cases. It is coming from dogs being brought here from the South. It is a good time to get your dog the heartworm medicine. Heartworm can be deadly.
