KitKat has given birth to five little clones! So far all seem to be doing well. Mom is eating, nursing, and being very attentive. There may still be more kittens to come!

KitKat hardly touched her food last night and still had a mostly full bowl this morning. It’s normal for pregnant cats to stop eating 12-48 hours before going into labor, so I’m keeping a very close eye on her via camera while I’m at work today. 💕

KitKat is showing signs of possible labor (or soon to be labor). Her appetite has slowed down and she seems very determined to find a good spot to nest. She really wants to be up high, either on top of our tall kennel or up on the closet shelves… but those are not safe spaces for kittens, so I’m trying to tempt her with other cozy spots. So far she is drawn to the closet floor, so I’ve laid down some towels in there.

There may be kittens in the morning… we’ll see!

🍯 🐝 ❤️ Honey got her name not only because she was rescued by a beekeeper, but also because she is so incredibly sweet. Previously abandoned outdoors during the heatwave this summer, Honey was lucky enough to show up at a caring person’s house who immediately reached out for help. You would think she would be hesitant to love humans again, but she has been nothing but affectionate! Honey loves making biscuits, giving aggressive head bumps, and chatting with you (she has the squeakiest little meow). She is a tiny bit skittish with abrupt movements and loud noises, so she would do best in an adult home or a home with older kids. She would be fine with other pets as long as she gets a slow introduction. 🍯 ❤️ 🐝 Kitten Angels

We are officially on kitten watch again!

Our beautiful girl, Kit Kat was a beloved neighborhood cat that was being cared for by people in the community. When her belly started to grow, a caring person called Kitten Angels for help. Now Kit Kat has a safe place to have her babies. 💕

I don’t know how far along she is, but judging by how low her belly is, I’d say we won’t have to wait too long.

Honey is as sweet as… honey! 🍯🐝

This poor girl has been through it. Abandoned outdoors during a heatwave, full of worms, and battling an internal infection. Now that she’s feeling better, her personality is starting to shine!

She’s gone from being scared and hissy to being soooo affectionate. I think Honey may end up being a lap cat after all!

I’m working on socializing her just a little bit more, but I think she is ready to begin looking for her forever home. She would prefer a quiet home with no young kids as she’s a bit jumpy. But I think she’d do fine with other cats and a calm dog.

Last weekend, a cat showed up at our friends’ house out of the blue and had been hanging around the property. Seeing as she seems to want to be around people, we can assume she may have been dumped.

Yesterday, they kindly trapped her for us, knowing she’d be much safer in our care than outdoors with the extreme heat during the day, and predators at night.

She was very scared last night, and hid from us. However, this morning she accepted some pets, gave me some headbutts, and even purred. We are calling her Honey ❤️
