For those that follow Kitten Angels, you may have read about our recent scare with one of our kittens, Fergus. To make a long story short, we found Fergus unresponsive on New Year’s Eve. By some miracle (and the work of some outstanding vets), he’s still with us today. We are so utterly grateful for everyone’s help and support. The hospital staff who saw us at our worst and brought comfort and healing, the support of fellow fosters, and the kind words and donations of followers has truly touched our hearts. We had the best outcome to every foster’s worst nightmare. ❤️🙏

We’ve done LOTS of growing since our last post!

Babies are officially one month old today 🥲 these past couple of days, I’ve watched rapid developmental progress as they hit multiple milestones each day. In the past three days alone they have started eating solid foods, shown interest in the litter box, begun interacting with toys, and have been practicing their climbing skills.

Since it’s not just mom providing the food now, they’ve warmed up to me a lot and have become very vocal. They’re all the cutest things ever and I can’t get enough of this kitty family. 😍

KitKat hardly touched her food last night and still had a mostly full bowl this morning. It’s normal for pregnant cats to stop eating 12-48 hours before going into labor, so I’m keeping a very close eye on her via camera while I’m at work today. 💕

KitKat is showing signs of possible labor (or soon to be labor). Her appetite has slowed down and she seems very determined to find a good spot to nest. She really wants to be up high, either on top of our tall kennel or up on the closet shelves… but those are not safe spaces for kittens, so I’m trying to tempt her with other cozy spots. So far she is drawn to the closet floor, so I’ve laid down some towels in there.

There may be kittens in the morning… we’ll see!
