Our Story

Initially owned by Dr. Ira Roth & sold to Dr. Carie Wisell October 2009. Dr. Lee-Anne Mitchell purchased Companion Animal Hospital on June 20th, 2018 & is the current owner & veterinarian. She strives to make Companion Animal Hospital a great veterinary experience for clients and pets alike. She prides herself on being thorough and explaining your pet's needs in a way easy to understand. Come meet a friendly, dedicated staff who's one paw ahead of the others and ready to provide all your pet's medical needs. We pride ourselves on customer service and great patient care. We provide physical exams, preventative medicine, dental cleaning, internal medicine, a full in-house labratory, digital x-rays, surgeries (soft tissue and basic orthopedics), an on-site certified groomer who will make your pets sparkle. We also provide boarding, house calls and after-hours emergency service for our clients. Our priority is to provide a great environment for your pets and the best medical care possible. We have recently renovated the hospital to provide a cozy, friendly atmosphere for the whole family. There is a seperate cat and dog hospital under one roof so cats are not exposed to the stress of hearing or seeing dogs. We use soft fleece blankets in our cat cages and boarding areas to keep them more at ease. We also offer jumbo sized condos as an option for our larger boarding cats or to allow multiple cats from the same family to stay together when boarding or to give more room to larger cats. We use Feliway spray (happy pheramones) throughout the cat hospital to help our friendly feline friends stay as relaxed as possible. We also cater to dogs by offering them treats and taking our time with gentle restraint during exams. We do all our large dog exams on the floor so they are not stressed out by placing them on a metal table. We give extra time for nervous dogs and really try to put them at ease. Come check out our amazing adoption pets as we are dedicated to helping place good animals into great homes through our "Adoption Option" program. We adopt many cats & kittens & several dogs dog & puppies each year!!!! We are a licensed shelter and help our local humane societies find homes for many animals when they are over populated. We have a superstar staff ready to do what ever they can to help your's and your pet's experience the best you've ever had at a veterinary hospital.
