I started out by selling reptile supplies online to fund my non-profit reptile rescue (www.BeautifulDragons.com) that I started in 1999. I decided to open a store in our town to not only offer reptile supplies, but to also give reptile advice, offer reptile services (f***l testing), and to help find good homes for the rescued reptiles. I also support some of the local reptile breeders in our area and you will often find reptiles for sale in the store from these breeders.

OK everyone. We were hearing a few things about the online UVB bulbs and how inexpensive they are. So we bought one to test with our UVB meter. Our experiment included a brand new Solar Glo (Exo Terra 125w) and a brand new ReptiZoo (125w) bulb, both were placed on a 40 gallon breeder, with a screen lid, and were powered on for over 30 minutes. We took each reading with the same UVB meter at the same distance. The cheaper bulb (ReptiZoo) reads almost 4x higher in UVB (uW/cm2). Some might think that's a good thing. What could happen is your bearded dragon could develop serious eye and skin issues over time, that could lead to death. The Solar Glo bulb has a better ballast to help regulate the amount of UVB output over the life of the bulb. Cheaper bulbs don't always mean better UVB.

Our reptile expo is a little over 2 weeks away! We are looking for 4 reliable volunteers to help set up and take down tables at the Polk Co Fairgrounds Fri and Sat (3/14 & 3/15). These tables are too heavy for one person to lift by themselves, so you'll need to work in pairs. If you are able to lift, carry and move these tables and want to help, please call the shop (503) 999-9665.

We need 2 reliable people to set up tables Friday morning (11 am to 1pm) and 2 people to tear them down and stack them after the expo on Saturday (about 5pm till 7pm) and help us sweep up after the event. And of course we'll give you free admittance to the expo for helping. It's not much and we really appreciate any help we can get. Thank you!

Don't forget to come in and look for the golden ticket! There's at least one in our store every day. These will get you into our reptile expo on March 15th for free. And you can cut the line. No need to wait in line since you don't have to pay.

You can also buy discounted entry tickets here at our store for $10 instead of $12 at the door. And again you can the cut the line when you pre-purchase your tickets.

When you buy mice or rats from us (live or frozen) just know that you are getting a quality feeder. Our mice and rats are bred locally and ethically. They are fed a variety of foods at Reptopia. Matecho Dart Frog tadpoles 😍

Hard to believe this adult male Panther Chameleon is still available! We have two that are super friendly, they will beg to come out, they will eat out of the tongs, and they will even beg to be taken down from the vine when they're tired and want to go back to their cage. Talk about personality.

We're so excited! We've had a not-so-secret breeding project going on since last year and it's finally paying off! Babies are only a few weeks old, so it will be a few months before they are ready. No deposits yet. Come into the store for more details. Sorry no shipping. We have a limited supply.
