⭐️Stars of Good Choice Dog Training⭐️

Up first is a special shout out to the last round of Walking in the Wild with Becky! So incredibly proud of this group and all they have accomplished. They worked so hard and it paid off! Truly an incredible group!

Next up at the Cardigan Welsh Corgi National Specialty 6 month old Tippy and handler Courtney completed their Novice Containers title with a first and a second place. They also took fourth place in Novice Interior and got a Q in Novice Exterior. Courtney has scentwork classes available now, email her at [email protected] to sign up!

Big Thank you to Hailey from Cobleskill College for finishing her semester with me! What a great opportunity to work with future trainers!

Next, Sansa took High in Trial - Novice last week on Wednesday. Good job Sansa!!

Last weekend, Possum finished her AKC Exterior novice title in Syracuse! So proud of you Possum!!

Zsa zsa, housemate to Possum, was at her first AKC trial last weekend! She got one exterior, one buried, one containers, and two interior qualifying runs. Nice job Zsa Zsa!!

Excited to have Suzanne Clothier back at Good Choice Dog Training teaching her Natural Jumping Method!

This workshop is limited to 15 working spots, with no limit on auditors.

We will be measuring each dog, determining stride length, and all participants will be actively helping to set up the jumping chute for each dog.

To be eligible for a working spot, your dog must be:

*At least 16 months old
*Have no known structural problems such as hip or elbow dysplasia, patella issues, OCD or arthritis
*Sound, without any signs of lameness
*Able to work in the presence of other dogs & people
*Bi***es in heat will be jumped last

Each working dog will be jumped with the goal of discovering any issues, of building confidence, and finding the appropriate working height for that dog.

The Natural Jumping Method creates skilled and confident jumpers in a way that protects and strengthens the dog's body, encourages correct biomechanics, and builds the dog's confidence. Start your dog right! or improve their jumping style naturally.

“Get Dressed” is a great tool to have when you are in a pinch and need to get out the door🐾 Either way collar training is a great thing to do because some dogs may be uncomfortable sticking their head in enclosed spaces. Start by just having them stick their own head in and out of the collar- never moving the collar! They should be doing all of the work here to make it their decision. Polite doorways in Puppy Too with Alissa👏🏼 Doorways can become very exciting to your dog because often when they leave with you, they are going to do something fun. A walk, an adventure, class, etc. This can cause your dog to become very excited at the door and even try to run out. It is important to practice polite doorways to keep your dog and everyone outside safe.
