Help Simba!
Hi, I’m Simba. I’m extremely scared in the shelter as you can see. I was wondering if you might consider fostering or adopting me? I’m a little timid at first and I have to admit, I have lashed out when I’m startled. But once I get to know you I’m a really sweet boy. I just need to feel safe in a home. If you’re interested please call 229-888-PETS or fill out the form at bit.ly/albanyfoster. Thank you!
Meet Bunny, she’s been through a lot and now she wants someone to care for her! Such a sweet girl, just waiting for her #furreverfriend to come along and sweep her off her feet! Is that you? Come by today to meet Bunny at Albany Humane!

Something big happened at Albany Humane last week…We are proud to announce that we are the recipient of a transport van from Atlanta Humane Society. Thank you to Atlanta Humane for offering the “Transport Vehicle Assistance Grant,” providing vehicles to shelters in need in Georgia.
Did you know that Albany Humane transports ~2,000 animals to love and safety on transports each year?? The fact is transports save lives, especially in communities where the sheer number of animals in need is too large for the shelter rescuing them. Albany and surrounding areas are no exception.
Albany Humane’s transport program brought the shelter to official “no-kill” shelter status in 2020. The only thing missing was a transport van to call our own.
Now that we have this AMAZING VAN, we will use it to transport animals more readily and easily to #savemorelives in the coming years!
A big shoutout to our Adoption and Transport Director, Payton Jarrell, Development Director, Samantha Threadgill and Executive Director, Lulu Kaufman for working so hard and successfully securing this grant! ❤️🐾
122 ANIMALS SAVED. You may have seen that last week Albany Humane worked on another hoarding case in Blakely, GA. But this time 122 animals were found in deplorable conditions. We thought it was important enough to share again!
They were pulled from the wreckage that they were living in, but now, they NEED YOUR HELP.
20 dogs suffering from heartworm disease, 21 cats with upper respiratory infections, guinea pigs and bunnies heavily pregnant, just to name a few. Can you find it in your heart to GIVE to help those like them finally LIVE? CLICK HERE to give: https://bit.ly/Blakely122social
Albany Humane is proud to have worked alongside Atlanta Humane Society, Blakely Police Department , and a local veterinarian to save all 122 animals. Albany Humane has since cared for and placed all of the animals with various rescues.
Albany Humane works on hoarding cases in South Georgia on a regular basis and couldn’t do it without supporters like you. Will you join the fight for animals who cannot fight for themselves?
His name might be Vanilla Ice, but he is sure to melt your heart.. with those gorgeous eyes of course! ❤️🔥🧊
This sweet boy was returned to us due to no fault of his own. He is super treat motivated and loves to snuggle. He is pretty easy-going and would thrive in a household where he can relax and explore his surroundings!
To adopt, call us at (229) 888-7387. You can also put an inquiry in for him on www.albanyhumane.org ❣️
