Today, we had the sweetest little visitor at the clinic! A tiny 6-week-old kitten found her forever home after crossing paths with a big-hearted human on a nearby bike trail. Instantly smitten, the lucky new owner brought her to Cat Clinic for a full kitten exam. Our team used Fear Free techniques to keep the little one calm and comfortable while cleaning her ears and checking her health. In fact, she was so busy enjoying her Churu treat that she didn’t even notice Dr. Lyons gently taking blood from her little leg! Although the task is a stinky one, cleaning your cat's litter box is a necessary part of being a responsible pet owner. Daily scooping will help minimize the spread of illnesses and parasites between animals- including humans (zoonotic diseases). It is also an easy way to monitor the digestive and urinary health of your cat. Not to mention, frequent scooping keeps the odors to a minimum!
