We know how everyone loves the updates! So Maci now now as Lexies furever mom has to say!!This was right after she got groomed. Major change! She is a total snuggle bug. She wants to be wherever I am all the time. She has no idea how big she is. She sits in laps and likes to be rocked like a baby. 😂

✨ MEET NORI — a beautiful 4-year-old girl hoping for a second chance ✨

This sweet, soulful 70-pound girl was picked up as a stray on 11/28/25 from Fry Gap Rd. We’ve been calling her Nori, and in just a short time she has already stolen our hearts with her gentle eyes and calm spirit.

Nori will be available for adoption or rescue on 12/04/25, and her euthanasia date is 01/27/26. We desperately want her to find safety, love, and a home where she will never have to worry again.

🏹 About Nori:
• Around 4 years old
• Sweet, quiet, and observant
• Loyal, loving, and eager for someone to trust
• A gorgeous girl who deserves stability and kindness

Please don’t let this sweet girl run out of time. If you can adopt, foster, or pull for rescue, you could truly change her life.

🐾 From Nearly Lost… to Newly Loved 🐾

Two young dogs, Bruce and Shay, had already passed their euthanization dates. Their time had run out, but their lives didn’t have to — and thanks to Rocket City Rescue, they were given a second chance.

Within just one week of being pulled from our shelter, both dogs were adopted. One week. That’s how quickly a life can change when a rescue steps in… and when fosters open their homes.

Bruce and Shay are now living the happy, safe lives they always deserved — not because luck found them, but because people chose to act.

💛 This is why rescues matter.
Rescues step up when shelters are full.
Rescues take the overlooked, the scared, the ones out of time.
Rescues make room where there is none.

But rescues can’t do any of that without one crucial thing:

💛 FOSTERS.
Every foster home is a lifeline.
Every spare bedroom, every quiet corner, every couch shared with a scared dog — it all means more lives saved.

Bruce and Shay’s story is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when rescues and fosters work together. They’re alive today because somebody said yes.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time.
You’re not just giving an animal a place to crash — you’re giving them a future.

✨ Be the reason another Bruce or Shay gets their second chance.
Foster. Support rescues. Save lives.

Our Story

Marshall County Animal Control is located in Albertville, Alabama. Marshall County Animal Control was established to provide a public safety service for the citizens of Marshall County by reducing the threat of Rabies. The animal control officer relocates stray, injured, lost, abandoned and/or aggressive animals from the Marshall County area (outlying areas of the city limits) and safely places them at a volunteer-run shelter. The volunteers provide daily care, socializing, training, vetting and placement into adoptive homes or placement into reputable rescue organizations. The County and volunteers work together to provide a no kill shelter setting. The usual adoption fee is $85.00 for a fully vetted dog. Please like and follow our page. Please share our posts to help generate interest for our adoptable animals and to generate traction for our page. Please feel free to message us. We are always in need of good reliable volunteers, transporters, donors for veterinarian expenses, donors for spay and neutering expenses, shelter supplies and fosters.
