❤️Zuko working on his service dog tasks today❤️ Here he is doing his DPT task and with dog distractions around!
⭐️We are currently testing at Dog Trainer College
And learning a bunch of new skills!⭐️
🐕🦺Next year starting around February we will be offering Service dog training but that's not the only skills we are learning here!🐕🦺
We are also doing Narcotic searches, Cadaver dog training, and search&rescue. We are so blessed to expand our business. Thank you to all of our wonderful clients❤️❤️❤️❤️
The request "we want to walk the dogs past people and other dogs without them barking and lunging at everything"
🍂I don't have a video of them walking past me with my dog but they did so well with that as well! They originally avoided everyone and everything including squirrels! Now they can go for a walk in the park without fear of those reactions but also the skills of what to do if a reaction does occur.🍂
❤️We had to dig deep into the dogs fear of people to help treat the reactions and look at where that got us❤️
Remy=Joyful Zoomies
Look at this girl have her zoomies and fun time but also listen to her recall😍
Does anyone else's dog get the zoomies when they hit a new spot of grass?

Through our time of being open we have worked with over 200 dogs in Northern Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. A small percentage of the dogs we have worked with has been some serious aggressive cases. 27 different dogs with food aggression, fear reactivity, dog on dog aggression and human aggression. I don't post as much about those because I want the dogs and families struggling to have privacy. Out of 27 dogs 4 dogs have had to be behavioral euthanized. I post a lot of the good stuff about my work and I'm sure people think I just spend time playing with puppies. The hardest part of my job is having to tell a family that their dog has a type of aggression that can't be trained out. This takes a toll on me mentally as someone who loves dogs and also loves those families dearly. I have decided for the rest of this year I will not be taking on any serious aggressive and reactive cases. But I would be glad to send people to trainers that I love and trust with my dogs any other dogs who need help. We will still be doing every other program as we love helping our community❤️❤️
Here's a short little video of some cute pups we have worked with!
Mimi is doing so well at her impulse control! The leave it command came quickly to her! One week your in a shelter and the next week your in some ladies living room eating hot dogs❤️ I also hear someone will be picking her up after she gets dropped back off! Yay for Mimi!
Mr. Apollos graduated from Tucks off Leash program last night! Now he and his family have some freedom to let him run around their yard and at their camping spots! We went over safety and trouble shooting with off leash dog work. Last night we got to use it first hand as my dog Adena (the gsd in the video) and Apollos found either a squirrel or a bunny in the woods. We were able to get them both back with very little correction or yelling. How cool is this!
Miss Mimi is so smart and is picking stuff up so fast! We have get sit and down really well and we introduced stay today! She is learning all about how to be in home and what is and isn't okay. She has also been introduced to what a vaccuum sounds like (was not a fan but is fine with it now), we also introduced chickens and other dogs!
To her future owners (whoever that may be)
She is the sweetest girl and love to give love and she is so easy to walk around the yard. When she gets curios her tail curls up almost in a circle(which means she has some Spitz breed in her! I just don't know which one). She has also has a goofiness that will make you smile and laugh out loud❤️
Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, Indiana
❤️Charlie helped welcome our new board and train (who got her on Father's day) with a nice walk on some trails!❤️
They were both doing so well with their loose leash walking and we even passed a dog 4 times both their size and we had no one bark or rush at the dog!
Mr. Moose is here for a 2 week board and train and working hard on his leave it, and his drop it command.
Day 1 Mixer wouldn't look at me or take treats from me.
Day 5 Mixer is working on her nice loose leash walk while also checking in with me and gobbling down hot dogs❤️
Mr. Chopper finished his 3 week board and train today. It's bitter sweet as he has become a loved part of our family for a short time. Chopper came to us from the Steuben county Humane society https://www.facebook.com/SteubenCountyHumaneSociety?mibextid=ZbWKwL
he will be in the best possible foster home until he is adopted. Chopper had some problems with leash walking but now listens very well to people putting and taking leashes off of him. As well as walking him outside and in dog friendly stores. Chopper would love to cuddle with you on the couch or just to play fetch.
