DOODLE BREEDING Complaint #2 🐶🐶 I think I am going to make him my “silent partner”. Lol.😂 Scent 👃🏻 integration, sound 👂training, and crate training are imperative to raising a confident dog. Confidence breeds safety. A dog will be less aggressive when exposed to external stimulus early due to the plasticity and moldability of their brain early on (up to 16 weeks is prime time). Can a pup learn after that 16 week mark? ABSOLUTELY! But the process is slower. Does this mean the work is done? No. I liken it to a child that you teach “please and thank you” to, once they are successful saying it once do you stop encouraging them when they do and correcting/redirecting them when they don’t? Absolutely not. Just like with children our pups need constant encouraging and correction/redirection. If a Desert Sage Doodle is in your future remember you not only get a companion pup for 10-15 years but you also get us!
