Day 1: Getting started on my inventory (and putting my brother to work). We made Christmas bandanas, yellow/red bandanas for New Mexico, rainbow bandanas, and a variety of other color combinations. I'm Alana, and these are my dogs Jax, Sparkie, and Hita. Jax and Sparkie were both adopted from Animal Humane New Mexico, and Hita was a stray we found in Mismaloya, Mexico. They are my best friends.

I am also a Girl Scout, where I've learned all about being an entrepreneur. My troop leader taught me how to make dog toys, so I started making dog toys to give away in my neighborhood. Now I want to turn that passion into a business!

A Girl's Best Friend sells tie dye dog toys and accessories, all hand made by me (sometimes I let my brother help). All dog bandanas can be customized with special seasonal designs or names. My mom is teaching me how to use heat press vinyl so I can get more creative!

In honor of my best friends, Sparky, Jax, and Hita, $1 from every bandana will be donated to Animal Humane New Mexico.
