Littered with lots of fun ❤️🐾

We have plenty of playful puppies available to adopt at all our adoptions locations. Bentley, Kim Jim, Missy, Dusty, and Frisky are enjoying playtime at our PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center today.

They all have had their adoption fees waived for our March Wag-ness Adoption Special. If they don't go home today, keep an eye on our website to see where you can meet your new best friend.

Juliett, a pregnant stray, gave birth to three kittens yesterday. With kitten season only just beginning, we are counting on our community of Foster Caregivers to help us save pets like Juliett and her babies.

Animal Humane New Mexico is hosting a "Spring Into Fostering" Foster Shower on Saturday April 5 from 1 - 3 pm at our Main Campus Location. Join us to learn more about becoming a foster caregiver and support the cause by donating much needed supplies to the program 😻🐾

If you don't know Jack (A #81938), you're missing out on a world of fun!

Jack, our Kiss 97.3 Pet of the Week, is an 11-month-old Black Mouth Cur. Only 33lbs and the perfect size for hugs and snuggles, this playful young fella is a dog-friendly, human-loving canine companion. He was transferred to Animal Humane New Mexico last month from Española Humane. Since then, Jack has made lots of friends in Albuquerque at adoption events around town and at AHNM's PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center at 350 Eubank Blvd, NE.

It is currently PetSmart National Adoption Week, running through March 30, and there are few better ways to celebrate than to welcome Jack into your life! He's a happy and friendly guy who would fit right in to make any active and loving family whole ❤️🐾

Our pets love when you come to visit ❤️🐾

Students from the Sandia Prep 10th Grade Leadership Group and the La Cueva Varsity Cheerleader Squad visited our Main Campus to give our dogs some extra love and socialization. Taking pictures, enjoying time outside the kennels, and getting lots of pets absolutely made their days.

Our first Companion Care Clinic filled up fast!

Thanks to the support of Petco Love Foundation, we were able to help many of Albuquerque's cats and dogs receive their vaccines and microchips.

Our Coyote 1025 Pet of the Week is a 1-year-old shepherd mix who is very social and has lots of energy to let out this Saint Patrick's Day. Peppermint Patty (A #82048) gets along with other playful dogs and is very interested in sniffing out all the interesting things in her world. She loves getting a break from her kennel to enjoy time in the park and would be an ideal dog for an active, outdoorsy family. It will be a lucky adopter who gets to spring into springtime with this lovely shepherd ☘️

We are making sure everything is neat, tidy, and sanitary so that pets like Dizzy can enjoy a clean shelter while they wait for their forever homes.

"It was healing for both of us,"

Facing domestic violence, Kathryn fled for safety with her beloved cat, Wednesday. Kathryn began working with a case worker to secure a restraining order and a better placement option for Wednesday. Her case worker pointed Kathryn to Animal Humane's PitStop4Pets program which offers free pet boarding to survivors fleeing domestic violence, people facing housing insecurity, or those needing extended medical treatment.

Kathryn was able to board Wednesday at Animal Humane's Pet Resource Center and was able to visit while she secured safer housing. Now with a restraining order and safe place to live, Kathryn and her sweet feline are together again!
