TODAY'S THE DAY! The sun is shining, the tank is clean-- THE TANK IS CLEAN?!

Today is the go live day for our new medical record software!

While we’re excited about this upgrade to improve your pets’ care, we’re still learning the ropes, and there may be a few bumps along the way.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the transition to better serve you and your family members. Thank you for sticking with us through this upgrade!

Aztec Animal Clinic is in the process of switching to a new medical record system! This means we will have a few hours of clinic closure to help train our staff on the new program.

Training days:
10/28 from 1-2 pm
10/29 from 12-2 pm
11/5 from 1-2 pm

We will be going live with the new software on Monday 11/11/24. We ask for your patience during the subsequent weeks as we transition to the new software.

As soon as we go live, you will also have access to a new patient portal that you can access at home! This will help you keep track of reminders for each of your pets.

Check out these before and after photos!

Poor Jasper came in with a severe allergic reaction and his family worried his skin would never be the same. After nearly 5 weeks of diligent nursing care and veterinary visits, we have returned him to his former glory!

Central New Mexico forecasted to be a hotspot for heartworm disease by the end of 2024.

The Companion Animal Parasite Council has warned that New Mexico will be seeing increased numbers of heartworm cases, likely due to the new species of mosquito in our region.

For this reason, we recommend your dogs stay on year round heartworm prevention, like Heartgard or Sentinel. Even if your dog is a couch potato, those pesky mosquitos come through open doors and windows. It only takes one bite from a heartworm positive mosquito to transmit the disease.

Please contact us to get your dog up to date on annual heartworm testing and prevention.
