Azor and Misiu were in last week for their ACVO/Epicur complimentary eye exam for registered service animals. They both did so well!!! We were delighted to meet both of them and even more delighted to give their owner good progress reports!! Way to go Azor and Misiu!!!

This week is National Veterinary Technician appreciation week. Every day is Veterinary Technician appreciation day for me (hi...it's Dr. Auten!). I literally could not do my job without this FANTASTIC group of ladies. Each and every day they show up to help me help our awesome patients as well as YOU, our wonderful clients. Their exceptional level of commitment to you and your pet, their wealth of ophthalmic knowledge, their dedication to this profession, and willingness to go along on this (sometimes) crazy ride called veterinary medicine is something I'm grateful for everyday. Please be respectful and kind to veterinary technicians, our ability to care for your pets literally depends on them....and they're AWESOME!

To paraphrase Neil Sedaka's hit song...."We love, we love, we love our little calendar girl"! Our friend Izze came to "see" us for a cataract consult last year. She was really struggling with her vision and wore a "Muffin's halo" bumper to protect her gorgeous face. This is a before surgery photo of Izze, and her after photo is appropriately taken with her beautiful calendar picture! It was so kind of her owner to write us this lovely note and provide us a copy of the calendar. These cases really make our days! We really do love our little calendar girl!

Even though it's late (better late than never, right?), we just wanted to post this Happy Cinco de Mayo message from our newest pal, Jasper! He's feeling fine and devine and ready to celebrate! Jasper just had his cataracts removed this week and he's doing well so far! He's a great patient and muy caliente! 😍😍🌶🔥🔥
