Mary is showing off her balance skills! Our guided exercise program is a large component of our patients rehabilitation. These exercises, combined with our custom made at home exercise plan, are a huge part of each patients success when it comes to their healing. Guided exercise has a wide range of benefits that include promoting weight loss, improving range of motion, and improving muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and gait. It can also enhance endurance and performance, decrease pain, and improve healing.
As much as we love seeing our patients each week, we also love to watch them go! Graduation from our rehab program is an amazing accomplishment for any patient and it is a celebration among our staff and the owners. Dasher graduated from his program and now come to us on an as needed/maintenance basis. We are very proud of each of our graduates - great job, Dasher!
Forrest has been making great progress with his rehab! His condition causes the “bunny hop” gait in his hind and through various modalities we have been working hard to help him learn a proper gait. As you can see, hydrotherapy has been working very well for him to learn how to properly walk - and it doesn’t hurt that he loves the water! Great job, Forrest!
What a difference 30 days of rehabilitation can make! Rosie came to us June 1st in the first clip and on June 30th in the second clip she is walking! While every pet is different in their response to rehabilitation treatments, we are so impressed at Rosie’s progress and can’t wait to see how far she can go. Great job, Rosie!!

At ACE, we try and make all our patients as happy and comfortable as possible during their appointments. With our patients that need a little extra attention to keep the experience positive, we are happy to oblige. Rocket here is a very sweet boy and well behaved, but he is a feline and as we know they are not as tolerant as dogs. It’s Monday! We wanted to start the week off with a dose of cuteness. The cerebellar hypoplasia puppy, Rollie, they we have shared previously has grown so much! At 6 months old, he is making amazing progress. His absolute favorite part of his sessions is the underwater treadmill! Once this kiddo realizes he can not only stand, but also run, there is no stopping him. He is thrilled and gets stronger every time we see him. We are proud of you, Rollie! Cerebellar Hypoplasia is not going to get this bouncy boy down! Rolley is a 10 week old puppy who is coming to ACE for a jumpstart to his best life. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a condition that causes underdevelopment of the cerrebellum, which is related to motor functions. This means pups like Rolley have difficulties moving or standing on his own, but with every session we are seeing improvements in this sweet boy! We had an exciting week for one of our patients. Chelsea came to us a little over 4 months ago, unable to stand/sit by herself. When she would arrive for her appointments, we would bring her in using a veterinary stretcher. Over the past couple of weeks, we have noticed a lot of improvement.
